The sky was bright, flickies scurrying around as they hanged out in the palm trees. A golden blur quickly ran past, knocking a baby winged flicky out of a tree. The flicky screamed, flapping their wings quickly.

Suddenly they were caught in a glove, looking up and seeing Shadow looking down at them. "Sorry little guy." Shadow stood up and placed the flicky back in the tree, "Don't fall out of any more trees, ok?"

The flicky quickly nodded, clearly traumatized. Shadow nodded his head a bit before starting to walk off. The ground slightly shaked, the ebony hedgehog glancing down. "Hm?"

He quickly started to zoom, leaving another golden blur behind his feet. What have you done this time, hedgehog? The striped hedgehog zoomed past many trees, the wind running through his quills.

The wind was warm, and the sky was bright, the sun shining down on the side of his face. The only sound was his rocket shoes blasting him forward as they let out a quiet roaring.

The ground shook more, a little flicky chased after an acorn that seemingly ran away due to the shaking ground. Shadow quickly ran past the flicky, using his Air shoes like roller skates.

He stopped in front of Tails' workshop, quietly stepping inside. The place was empty, gadgets scattered across one of the desks and Sonic's guitar leaning in the corner. Shadow stepped across the dirt, looking around.

"Fox!?" He called out to no avail, "For chaos' sake I would even take the hedgehog!!! Although I doubt his pink girlfriend would let me near him." Shadow glanced around, trying to find anything that could tell him what was going on.

The ground shook again, causing Shadow to lose a bit of his balance. "Woah." The black hegdehog Growled and quickly zoomed out of the garage. He zoomed up the side of the mountain, his eyes nearly closing as the wind blew in them.

He got to the top of the mountain, the sky black and a few stars twinkling. The sun was pitch black, a ring around it's center. An eclipse. One making the whole sky a midnight in day.

It was dark and cold, Shadow's eyes going wide. He took one step forward, sending a rock down the side of the mountain peak. The pebble tumbled down, nearly hitting a few animals who had stopped to look at the eclipse.

The sky was pitch black, the only light coming from the ring of sun coming out from behind the moon. Shadow bent down, picking up some dust that flew away in the wind. The ebony hedgehog clenched his fist, his eyes closing.

"Sonic."
