Star Light (Sonic Fanfiction)

Chapter twelve

Sonic zoomed away from one of Shadow's punches. "Look I told you I don't know what's going on!!" The blue hedgehog growled as he dodged a kick. The fight had already been going on for about ten minutes, Sonic having multiple attempts to try and calm the black hedgehog but to no avail.

"Shut up, faker!!" The ebony hedgehog said with a growl and tried to punch Sonic who quickly dodged, causing Shadow to punch the ground. "Why do we always wind up in fights?" Knuckles asked annoyedly as he fought with the black and red hedgehog as well. 

"If Sonic over there doesn't explain what he's done you'll be too busy to worry about that cuz you'll have a black eye!!" Shadow spoke as he glared at Sonic who lied on the ground. "Me!?" Sonic quickly zoomed to his feet in an attack ready pose, "I didn't do anything!" He said dropping his arms to his sides, Shadow trying to punch his face, but he dodged without any effort.

"Shadow!!" Sonic groaned and dodged, "Do we really have to fight?" He leaned on a nearby tree, a smirk planted on his face as he tried to negotiate. Shadow attempted to punch him again, Sonic's eyes going wide before he quickly moved out of the way, the ebony hedgehogs fist hitting the tree and causing a few coconuts to fall down.

Sonic zoomed a couple feet away, "You know you might want to watch the sky." "Huh?" Shadow asked, distracted by the blue hedgehogs comment when a coconut fell on his head. The hegdehog growled, "YOU ARE THE MOST ANNOYING THING TO EXIST, HUH!?" He said, trying to punch Sonic. "Nope," Sonic zoomed, "I think you take that cake, faker." He winked. 

Shadow rolled his eyes and kept fighting. Rouge flew above the action, "Shadow! Stop this right now!" She yelled. "I don't think he's going to listen to you right now, Rouge!" Amy called out as she tried to fight, but every blow she took hurt more than the last. 

"What disaster have you caused this time, hedgehog!?" Shadow growled as he punched into the ground by mistake. "I didn't cause this!!" Sonic retaliated, "I barely even know what's going on!! Trust me!!" The blue hedgehog pleaded, stepping a few feet closer to shadow. "Trust you?!" Shadow glared, "I find it very unbelievable that you haven't caused this!"

"Well, I didn't." Sonic crossed his arms. "Well," blaze said skeptically. "Don't." Sonic glared. Shadow growled at the blue hedgehog and punched him in the face, "Shut up." He glared. "I don't think punching me in the face is going to make me 'shut up.'" Sonic said annoyedly as he sat on the ground. 

Shadow growled, raising his fist to punch at the other hedgehog. "YOU ARE-" Shadow stopped, feeling something grab onto his leg. The ebony hedgehog looked down, his fist still raised. Aster held tightly onto his leg, his eyes cleanched shut. "Stop!!" The wolf pup said, nearly shouting as he tried to get the fight to end.

Shadow was shocked, his eyes widening. "Wha-what?" "Don't hurt them. Please." Aster said, his voice surprisingly calm and nearly emotionless. Shadow paused for a moment before sighing and lowering his fist. Sonic bursted out laughing, "So you do have a heart, edge lord." Shadow growled in retaliation, "SHUT UP!!" "Nah." Sonic wiped away a few tears of laughter, "I don't think I will." He smirked. 

Shadow growled as he took a step forward, making Sonic flinch. "HA!" Shadow smirked and Sonic rolled his eyes. "I wasn't that scared." The blue blur quickly stood up. Rouge smiled and landed next to Shadow. "Care to explain why you tried to kill Sonic?" The albino bat asked. "Do you not see the sky, bat!?" Shadow asked with a glare.

Tails grabbed Aster's arm and took him a bit away from Shadow before speaking, "It's an eclipse. I didn't think there was one coming up anytime soon but-" "There wasn't." Shadow interrupted coldly, "The next eclipse wasn't supposed to happen for several years, that's why I thought Sonic had done something." He clenched his teeth.

"I just love it when you're soooo mad you say my name." Sonic said with a smug smirk. "Can it, hedgehog." Shadow growled. Sonic chuckled a bit but stopped his teasing. Probably better to keep Shads in a good mood for now. Sonic thought.

"Now, what's with the kid?" Shadow asked looking towards Aster. "This is Aster," Tails explained nervously, "I met him in a forest after the explosion." "Explosion?" "Oh, right! We were fighting Eggman w-when one of his machines went off." 

"RIGHT!" Silver exclaimed as he floated in the air, "The machine! What if we used that to get back and get Eggman out of that place?! It might be the cause of whatever is going on with the Moon and I'm pretty sure Eggman should not be there." "You're a genius, Silver." Blaze said calmly.

The white hedgehog blushed and rubbed the back of his head nervously, "Thanks, Blaze." Shadow sighed, "So I'm guessing you all are going to drag me along on whatever... Thing you caused." He asked. "One: We did not cause it." Sonic stated a bit annoyed, "Two: Yes." He smirked. Shadow facepalmed, "Of course."
