Day One of Junior Year.

Caylee

Beep… Beep… Beep…

Stupid alarm.

Stupid reality.

Most bruises are healed, but my scalp is so tender to the touch. My sides are beyond sore. I throw my hair in a loose bun and freshen up. I throw on a tank and shorts and off to training I go.

Even with my body and scalp feeling as they do, I have to show up to training. If not, someone will notice something. And that is a chance I can not take.

During training, I tried my best to hide how bad some hits hurt me. But I know I didn’t cover it all up very well. I felt my entire body tense whenever the hits hit a tender spot. But I just really hope no one noticed.

After training, I ran home to take a nice hot shower before getting ready for the first day of Junior year!

Because my scalp is still so tender, I let the curly hair loose. I go into my closet and pick out a burgundy skirt overall with a black long sleeve and match it up with my black booties. I put a bit of eyeliner on and leave it at that with makeup. I love my freckles to go covering them up. I put some lip gloss on and ran downstairs.

I ate up a bowl of cereal as I waited for Jojo. Mom walks into the kitchen.

“Have a great first day, Love you” And as quickly as she went in she went out.

“Love you too…” I mumble. I feel terrible that I feel bothered. I know she’s a busy woman, but it’s hard not having her there. You know…

I hear a horn and that’s my cue to go.

On our way to school, we picked up Zee. We arrive and all head to the main office, grab our schedules and head out.

Thank Goddess it’s a school of just wolves, can you imagine a wolf trying to act like a normal human? Ha, funny!

“What’s your first period?” I look at my schedule.

“Algebra ll with Mr. Q'' She looked at me confused.

“How did you end up with a senior class?” I giggled.

“Because, I’m bomb in math.” We all laugh, but it’s true. I’m really advanced in math, always have been.

I say goodbye and head to class, I’ll find my locker later.

I get to class and there’s only three others there. I chose a seat by the window, sat down and placed my bag at the foot of my desk. People start coming and someone comes to my desk.

“What are you doing in this class Caylee?” I tense, I already knew who it was. The only person who refuses to call me Cay. Jayden. I looked up at him.

“It’s my first class.” I said quietly.

“Ok.” He decided to sit next to me.

Well that was weird… Everyone is staring now… Especially the girls. I internally face palmed.

Don’t get me wrong, he’s hot. Tall as hell, brown messy hair, caramel skin, blue eyes, just a pure Goddess.

BUT…

He's my brother's best friend. Also, my best friend's brother. Annnnnnd two years older than me.

So… that’s not happening.

If I weren’t Cjs sister nor Jojo's best friend, he wouldn’t even know I existed.

The bell rings ending that period and I rush out.

The next two periods fly by. Now it's lunchtime and I meet up with Zee and Jojo. We eat lunch and head to the next class. The rest of the day flies by, I have History with Jojo and Bio with Zee.

So we all hang at Jojos after school doing homework, hanging out and then eating dinner.

When the time comes to head out, Jojo takes me home. And of course my night goes as it has every other night…

Crying myself to sleep.

When will the misery end?
