She’s mine.

Jayden

I felt myself waking up, and suddenly, I heard a heartbeat speeding up a bit. I open my eyes, to see her eyes fluttering, trying to adjust to the lighting in the room. She ends up looking at me and our eyes meet. It was as if I were in a daze, melting into those beautiful green eyes.

We had a minor conversation, she’s afraid and worried. I can see it in her eyes… What does she mean when she says, there is so much I need to know before I choose her.

Why wouldn’t I choose her?

She’s my person…

She is meant to be mine. What can be so horrible, for her to think I wouldn’t want to stay? She’s really so afraid. I need to know why. Can I take all that fear away? I’m not even sure, but I sure as hell will try.

I notice her face change into a different kind of fear, which I’m assuming could be that Martha nor Cj are here. I assured her they’re ok. I I had the nurse get the doctor to get out of here. Caylee doesn’t want to stay here so she wont. I went and got things prepared with the nurses for her to get discharged, so we can go to the pack house.

I did let her know that she can have a separate room if she isn’t comfortable in mine. And again she mentions something about me knowing her story. How that will determine her rooming situation.

How bad could this be? I mean, bad enough if she ran off like that. I brush off those thoughts for now and get ready to head to the pack house.

Ten minutes into our drive, she asked where we could talk, a place no one would hear us. I asked if we should just pull over, and she can tell me her story. She nods, and I pull over, turning the car off. I let her know that I’m listening whenever she’s ready to speak.

She started her story and interrupted herself practically begging me to not hate her, bash her, or leave her. To listen to everything she has to say before she continues. I agreed, so she continued.

I wasn’t ready for everything she said… I tensed up plenty of times. And she would hold my hand to help me calm down a bit. But, overall, I still listened… She’s stronger than anyone I’ve ever known. She doesn’t even realize that.

I don’t care if she’s broken, I’ll make her whole again. I don’t care if she isn’t a virgin, because I’ll be the last guy she’ll be with. I don’t care what her past has been like, she will always be my beautiful Caylee. My beautiful Mate, no one can change that.

But, Robert? He will pay for what he did.

Right now, Caylee needs me.

And I won’t be turning my back on her. She’s my life and I will protect her and everything she loves. Together we will get through everything. And when the time comes, we’ll deal with Robert. He’s gone, Jojo and Cj went looking for him all over pack grounds, and he’s nowhere to be found. And I made sure she knew that. She’s mine and I’m not going anywhere. Her smile melts my heart.

“You’ll really stay?” Was that really a question? She’s still so afraid… I can’t blame her.

“Amor, of course I’ll stay. How could I not? You’re perfect for me… I don’t care about the flaws. And you being broken? We can work together to make you whole again. I mean every word I say Caylee… Every. Single. One. Your past is just that, the past, and for everything that’s coming, we’ll be ready to take it together.” I grab her by the cheeks and kiss her forehead. She’s crying, so I hug her.

“Mi amor?” She looks up at me.

“Hmm..” I wiped her eyes.

“What will we do about telling Martha and CJ? I don’t think they’ll take it very well. And about us, I wasn’t sure if you would be ready to tell anyone that we are mates, so no one knows just yet.” She smiles.

“You can tell anyone that we’re mates, I’d like that. And about my mom and brother… They need to know. Robert is not who they always thought he is. And that needs to be known… I just hope they don’t hate me Jayden…” Her eyes tear up again, I grab her hand, and squeeze a bit.

“Mi amor, they’ll never hate you. You didn’t do anything wrong. He’s wrong. No matter the outcome, I’ll be right beside you, if you’d want me to be.” She smiles, that pretty little smile of hers.

“How did I get so lucky with you?” She kissed my cheek and the sparks felt amazing.

“Ready to head home?” I ask her with a big smile.

“Yes, in our room, right?” And that right there, made my entire night amazing.

She is everything…
