Chapter 20

Mate!

“Any luck yet?” I linked everyone who’s helping. It’s been over fifteen minutes already that we’ve been looking for her.

“No…” It was me, Cj, Knox, Kyle, and Jojo looking for her. How far did she run? All of a sudden, I caught a scent… 

Sweet, sweet, chocolate. 

“Do you guys smell that?” I asked the guys so confused. 

“No, do you think it’s Caylee?” that was Jojo. 

“Go after it. What if it is her.” that was Cj. 

I dashed towards the smell. My wolf was bubbling with joy inside. I could hear her cries getting louder, and louder. I finally get a view of a figure laid out on the ground. I ran faster than I ever have before. 

Once I’m just a few feet away, I freeze. 

“Mate.”

 She’s my mate! Oh my Goddess I’ve found my mate! My Caylee. Reality hit me and I quickly yelled out.

“I found her!” 

She hasn’t even noticed me. I can hear her breathing quickening as she sobs. I picked her up and all of a sudden she fainted. 

“I’m rushing her to the pack hospital! She fainted!” I yelled into the mind link. 

I didn’t tell them she’s my mate yet. I want her to know it’s me. I want her to know that whatever this is, I’m here. I’m on her team… I want her to accept me, before anyone else knows.

I arrived at the pack hospital, and they already have a room set up for her. The doctor starts asking questions and I stop him.

“I’m not really sure what happened. I was mind linked that something happened, and she ran off. I found her sobbing in the woods, on the ground and once I picked her up she passed out.” He nods and starts checking her vitals. 

Someone comes in to put an IV and I stand there lost. What happened? Will she be ok? I just found her… She can’t leave me… She needs to know I am here. She needs to know I will love her no matter what. I’m brought out of my deep thoughts when someone barges in. I was ready to growl, until I saw who it was.

“What happened to my baby!?” You can hear the panic and worry in her voice.

“I am not sure, I wasn’t there. I’d have to talk to Jojo and see what exactly went down. Then I can talk to you.” She nods and continues to caress my mate's face. 

I wanted to growl cause I didn’t want anyone touching my mate. But my mate doesn't even know that I am her mate. So I decided to wait outside of the room, even if my wolf whimpered because he wants his mate.
