DISCLAIMER:PLAGIARISM IS A CRIME!
CHAPTER 16
"Shanaia,"
Boses pa lang, kinakabahan na ako.
After breakfast, pinatawag ako ni Avo sa kanyang silid. Shandrei is now preparing for somewhere, Mama and Papa decided to talk with Mommy and Daddy with Cairo. It's all about the status of the Engineering firm and other businesses. I was called out by Avo and even though Shan was preparing, she walked with me and waited for me outside the door. Cairo on the other side, looked worried when I followed Avo here, upstairs.
"Bakit po?" Kalmado ko na tanong.
"You know what you can give me, right?"
I blinked. Ano ang ibig niyang sabihin? I was confused. But then something registered in my mind. Is this still all about him forcing me to have a child with Cairo? What bullshit, then.
"A-Avo... we haven't talked about—"
"Ilang taon pa ba ang aabutin? Your sister is almost a famous doctor now! You are handling the company of mine na hindi ko naman pina-ako sayo. I was just giving you a consideration dahil sa kalye ka lang pupulitin kapag hindi ko ginawa ang mga ito!"
Napayuko ako. Akala ko wala nang luha, meron pa pala. Nasa mata ko lang 'yon at mukhang walang alam na ibang daanan kung hindi ang mga mata ko. His words are like daggers, piercing my whole body, especially my heart. Why does it hurt so much? Kahit paulit-ulit na lang, napakasakit pa rin.
"Avo—"
Before I could even finish my word, a knock made its way to the door. Pareho kami napatingin doon. I composed myself when I saw Shan's head popping on it. Nakangiti siya at agad na bumaling kay Avo at sa akin, I gave a smile.
"Avo, are you busy?" She asked.
Avo shook his head and smiled at my sister. He extended his hand, offering Shan to sit beside me, the vacant seat. Shan walked, she's jolly as she kissed Avo's cheek. Para naman nabuhay si Avo, he looked at Shan with admiration, like Shan is the precious in his life.
"When it comes to you, I always have time. Nag-uusap lang naman kami ng ate mo tungkol sa magiging apo ko."
I closed my eyes when I heard that.
"Are you pregnant?" Shandrei asked, Avo laughed.
"N-no," I answered.
"Shan, we're just talking about it. Your sister might consider having one, right?" Avo looked at me with a warning in his eyes.
"Y-yes, Avo." There's my uneasiness.
"Hmm. Avo, maybe if you put down the pressure they might consider it. Stop putting pressure on them, they might not do it because of you." Shandrei said.
She's looking at Avo seriously while Avo is nodding, like he's defeated by Shan's statement. Like he's convinced by Shan but not to me.
"You have a point. But, Shanaia, you and Cairo should talk about this. I want a grandson," Avo then chuckled.
I cleared my throat and nodded.
