Chapter 9

Zane, Kai, Nya, Jay and Cole stood there.

"Why did he have to run off like that" Jay sighed "Guess we're gonna have to learn this quickly we've almost got this I can feel it" Cole reassured. They started to head back to the warehouse when they heard two large crowds coming their way.

"What's that?!" Jay sounded panicked.

"I- oh it's vania" Cole pointed. Kai then pointed to the ground.

"And Benthomar" They all were happy at the sight of extra help.

"Now let's go kick some overlord butt and help our friend".

"I fear for my brother and nethew" Wu said to misako.

"They will pull through" misako felt sure of it. That's when they heard a loud sound.

"The extra allies have arrived it seems" Wu smiled. "We may just have a chance now"

Garmadon was now fighting with the overlord in full on oni form. The overlord shot powerful blasts knocking over pillars and reaching nearby buildings. Harumi was out of his control for now.

"Harumi seek shelter!" Lloyd yelled out to her.

"And cower? No way" she snapped out of her state of fear grabbing her crystal katana tightly. She took a jab at the overlords leg he yelled out reaching for her with his fist. Lloyd kicked it away distracting the overlord.

"This is all apart of my plan" he laughed "to finally take over ninjago"

"Didnt your other plan fail?" Lloyd pointed out "and the one before that, and also the one be-" the overlord growled in annoyance.

"Don't mock me boy" he ran towards lloyd at full speed his four legs thumping against the ground leaving marks in the stone floors. He dived under just as garmadon took another blast destroying one of his fingers.

"Ah garmadon a creature of my creation" he laughed. Garmadons eyebrows furrowed in frustration.

"Your creation? I'm actually from my father when he stuck his-"

"No no I MEAN THE REASON YOUR EVIL NOT THE REASON YOU WERE BORN" the overlord yelled in annoyance

"Your not a snake" garmadon shrugged.

"I was the one who controlled the great devourer through all its stages of life including biting you" the overlord laughed as he explained this.

"Regardless i don't owe you anything" garmadon yelled "in fact I should blame you for some of my misfortunes" garmadon gathered a lot of his energy aiming straight for the overlords chest. The overlord stumbled back slightly.

Harumis eyes widened at the realisation.

"Your the reason my parents are dead!" She yelled out. Lloyd had never seen her so angry.

"I finally have a direct person to blame" she clutched her sword even tighter. Blinded through rage she ran towards the overlord swinging the katana left and right to aim at the overlords arm. He tossed her away like a ragdoll.

"I'll deal with you later" he growled blasting garmadon with a lot of energy. "But first I must destroy this annoying flea".

"Flea? Is that the best insult you can come up with?" Garmadon rolled his eyes however his sarcastic tone and expression turned to one of pain as the blast hit him right in the chest. He yelled out in pain as he was tossed backwards into a pillar. Lloyd ran up to him.

"Dad!" He kneeled by his side "your gonna be ok, ok? Don't die don't move to much ok" lloyd was frantically looking for anything he could use to stop the purple blood pouring out of his fathers injury.
