This time when Enid woke up, she felt better than the last time she had, if not for the pounding headache and sore throat. A cool hand rested on her forehead. Enid expected it to be Wednesday and was disappointed when it was only Morticia.

"Enid, how do you feel?"

"Like I could use a break," she murmured.

"Truly, this summer must be awful for you," Morticia said. "We never intended it to be this way for you. We would never torture you like this without your consent."

"It's not...its not anyone's fault. The doctor said I was cursed by something evil and that was why everything was happening."

Morticia tsked. "An evil curse. But what kind?"

Enid blinked back fresh tears. "He didn't say. He said there was no cure."

"Oh my dear, there is always a way. We Addams tend to not follow the rules and make our own path. We will help you with this." Morticia considered something. "Does Wednesday know?"

"Yes."

"Good. She is the right person to help you with this situation. Her stubbornness won't let her quit until she finds an answer."

"Where is she right now?"

"Trying to figure out how traces of chocolate got into all the dishes at dinner today. Lurch has no idea how it happened either. We were very careful not to put chocolate anywhere remotely near the food once we learned about your allergy."

"I'm sure it was because of the curse," Enid said.

Morticia did not deny this. "Rest now. Wednesday will come to see you shortly."

Enid was scared to be left alone but she couldn't beg Morticia to stay with her. Enid said nothing as the matriarch left, opting to sit up. There was a glass of water by her bed side and a packet of allergy medication.

Not all wolves were allergic to chocolate, just sensitive. She was one of the unlucky few who actually needed to take medication for it. But as she eyed the water, despite her parched throat, she didn't trust drinking from it. She had no idea how the curse would impact her, or how far it could go.

She buried her face in her hands, overwhelmed with sudden grief. Oh this was going to suck badly wasn't it? The curse came after her human and wolf side.

The door creaked open and Enid's heart rate increased. Was it the curse? No, it was only Wednesday. She looked Enid over. "How are you feeling?"

"I just want this to stop," she said, allowing her vulnerabilities to flow free with Wednesday here.

"And it will," Wednesday said. "I'm keeping an eye on you, Enid. You are not to leave my side."

"What-"

"I mean it," Wednesday said, voice hard. It was not up for debate. "Wherever I go, you go."

"But-"

Enid didn't get to finish her complaint. Wednesday refused to listen to her, and that was how 10 pm at night found Enid in her pjs standing in Wednesday's bedroom. Andrew was there too, exchanging looks with Enid. He sighed, confused, and addressed Wednesday. "What is Enid doing here?"

"She's sleeping with us."

"What?" he barked out.

"I can't let her sleep alone."

"Why not?" he asked, crossing his arms over his chest.

"You wouldn't understand it if I told you."

"Try me."
