--Narrator--

J closed her map system, before turning around and waking up her two teammates with a gunshot into the ceiling of the spire. She watched with a satisfied smirk as N fell on the drop pod before bouncing off and falling on the ground. V on the other hand landed on her feet with some amount of grace, especially compared to N's landing.

"Okay V, I already sent you a map of where we're going tonight. N stay out of our hunting ground and I'll let you live another day."

As usual, N's shoulder dropped at J's words when he realized he wouldn't be invited to hunt yet again. He really wanted to but J never let him as she only saw him as dead weight.

"But J, you haven't let me hunt in an active zone for quite a while, at this rate I'm gonna get rusty.

-Did I stutter N ? The few drones over there should be plenty enough. Next time you put my generosity in question you'll be praying to JCJenson that I end you quickly."

The squad leader said with venom in her voice, before turning to V and signaling to her it was time to go. As the two other disassembly drones flew out of the spire N waited until his two co-workers were far enough before spreading his own wings and flying off. The cool air of this planet's night sky felt very soothing as N soared through the sky, not to mention the calmness of it all as the disassembly drone glanced at the two moons. All of this worked to make a very pleasant and relaxing atmosphere.

"Maybe today won't be such a bad day..."

N said to himself, now back in a significantly better mood he landed on the ground sending snow flying everywhere, straightening his back, N retracted his wings and looked around as he began walking down the street. The satisfying crunch of the snow filled his audio sensors as no other sounds could be heard, not even the wind who would usually be constantly howling and throwing snow everywhere like a child having a tantrum wasn't here. Relaxing his shoulders and putting his hands in his winter jacket pocket's, N let out a breath he didn't know he had been holding as a small smile formed on his face. Opening the door to one of the buildings, N turned left and walked down the small corridor. Glancing to his right from time to time, looking at the snow falling outside as he walked, before stopping in front of a seemingly random door. Fishing a small key from his pockets, N opened the door to reveal a small apartment that he had renovated. His little escape from it all.

'Home sweet home.'

He thought as he closed the door behind himself, taking a moment to look around his little paradise. Before he turned on a gaming console he had taken from a mall, and flopped down on a couch he stole from another apartment. Picking up a controller N browsed through his game library before settling for some doom. A small smile already creeping onto his face.

--3 hours later--

"Come on, come on ! YES !"

N jumped up from the couch as he finally got through a really tough part of the game before doing a little victory dance. Smiling from ear to ear as he did so, the controller still in one hand.

"Oh boy, all this gaming sure made me thirsty."

N said as he looked to his left. Next to a boarded up window two water dispensers he took from an office building sat against a wall. One was filled with good old refreshing oil, the other one however, was filled with gasoline. The murder drone pondered for a bit if it was a good idea to drink some gasoline but chose not to, he knew if he started he wouldn't be able to stop himself in time to get back to the spire sober.
