Sugar Coated Love

Chapter 7

Arriving back in the states was an interesting feeling to say the least. Once the plane had landed in LA, we were ushered off the plane moved through the airport quickly, not giving me much time to really acknowledge I was back. We got into two cars, taking us immediately to the house we will be staying at for the indeterminate future. And I have to admit, the company basically rented us a mansion, which is not cheap. 

"Holy shit," I mumble as we enter the house. "How the hell did you get your company to get this for us?"

"Another thing I argued for to get us to be able to come here," Chan shrugs, a small smile on his face. "I'm going to keep my methods private."

I roll my eyes, but let out a little laugh. "I guess I know who to come for when I need to get something from JYP."

"One hundred percent."

"Oh my god!" 

I whip my head around, turning to face Jisung and Jeongin, who are running out of one of the doors down the hall. 

"There's a fucking hot tub on the balcony!" Jeongin elaborates on Jisung's earlier exclamation. 

"Haven't you guys been to places with stuff like that?" I ask, not really directed at anyone. 

"I mean yeah," Minho hums, moving to stand beside me. "But they still get excited, which we think is cute."

"Very fair," I nod.

We all split up after that, exploring the rooms of the house. Each of us has our own room, but we'll see how many of us actually stick to them. 

"Oh hey guys!" I call after setting my stuff down in the room I had claimed. "Do you guys mind if I go see my friends in like an hour?"

"Are you going alone?" Changbin asks as he enters my room, the others filing in a little after.

"I mean, I wouldn't mind if one of you came," I shrug my shoulders, looking a bit sheepish. "I just didn't know if any of you wanted to. They would definitely be excited, they've been trying to get me to bring at least one of you anyways."

The boys look at each other, like they are silently trying to decide who will go. 

"Okay how about Lixie and Jinnie go with you," Chan finally responds. "They've been itching to do something since we touched down."

I nod my head, excited. "That sounds great! Are you two alright with that?"

Felix and Hyunjin both nod quickly, assuring me they are good with it. 

"We'll be fine with it!"

I hum, acknowledging them. Then suddenly, something pops into my head. "Oh I know that they've been trying to learn some Korean, so they'll be excited to try it with you guys!"

Hyunjin cocks his head to the side in slight confusion. "They've been trying to learn? Why?"

"Well originally just Jade was trying to learn because she wants to visit Seoul," I begin. "But the others decided to learn with her because they wanted to be able to talk with you, since most of you aren't fluent in English. Or, incase you can't figure out how to phrase something in English."

"That's so nice of them," Seungmin responds, eyes a little wide with shock. 

I smile, proud of my friends. They had decided to do this without any input from me, I only realized they had started to learn when Jace had responded to something I said in Korean, which threw me for a loop. I really appreciate them doing this, it definitely tells me that I picked the right friend group.
