Sugar Coated Love

Chapter 8

"So how have you guys been?" I begin, taking a seat by Sam, Hyunjin and Felix sitting on my other side. "How's college and all that?"

"I'm so fucking ready to graduate," Jace responds immediately, showing his head back toe exaggerate the point. "I swear to god i'm losing my shit!"

"You're the one that chose to be a stem major," Sam reminds him.

"Cause in order to be a cardiologist, I need to have some form of stem degree for med school."

I roll my eyes. "Oh I pity the patients that have you as their cardiologist."

"You're mean," Jace pouts, then looks over at my soulmates. "I'm sorry you got stuck with such a dick for a soulmate."

"Hey!" I glare, whacking his arm. "I'm a fantastic person!"

"Says the one who just hit me!"

"CHILDREN!"

Jace and I both stop, turning to look at Jade, who is staring both of us down. "Behave."

We both mumble a sorry, Hyunjin, who's sitting beside me, pulls me into his chest to jokingly comfort me. I feel him chuckle from where I am against his chest.

"How's college for you over there?" Sam switches the topic, focusing on me.

"It's going pretty good," I hum with a smile. "Definitely different from college in the states though."

"I figured," They nod. "Are you going to graduate around the same time as us?"

"I'll probably be about a month behind you guys, but it'll be the same year at least."

Hyunjin unwraps his arms from around me, him and Felix standing up. "We're going to get a drink, do you want anything? Or do any of you need a refill?"

The groups shakes their head, but thanks them.

"Can you get me a cider please?"

Hyunjin nods, and him and Felix head over to the bar.

"Okay so," Matt begins with raised eyebrows as soon as the boys are gone. "How's it going with your superstars?"

"You had to wait for them to leave for that?"

"Yes obviously, I want your actual opinions!"

I roll my eyes. "Then it's going good, I'm really enjoying living with them. It's been a serious relief to get away with my soulmates."

"We're happy for you," Jade smiles, squeezing my arm affectionately. "Still sad you had to move literal continents though."

"Yeah exactly! You're too far if we have to take a plane over an ocean to get to you!" Sam laughs.

"I know, I know!" I raise my hands jokingly. "But I'm definitely going to make a point of flying out more. I've just been busy with getting the bakery up and adjusting to school and the apartment and all."

Hyunjin and Felix wander back over to us, Felix handing me the drink i'd asked for and quickly takes a seat beside me, sticking his tongue out at Hyunjin. Said male responds with a huff and a roll of his eyes, but takes a seat beside Felix and carefully slips his hand into his.

"Thank you Lix."

"But seriously I'm sorry your first trip back had to be because of David," Sam gives me a sympathetic smile, my other friends doing the same.
