"Okay so we are going to need to make sure that you are prepared for any questions Jamison throws at you," Sidney says after she swallows a bite of food. "He can be a dick sometimes, and I don't want you unprepared on the stand."

My soulmates and I had met her and her soulmate, Adria, out for lunch a few days before the next court date. My soulmates, Adria, and I got along quite easily, which made me happy to see them having some semi-normal conversations while Sidney and I had to prepare for trial. God, I really hate having to drag them through this. Sidney had already gone through a lot with the group, but would probably work with them some after me.

"So we are going to go through the early stages of you and David's interactions. Mostly like why you know him, why you were around him, stuff like that. Then we will move on to stalking things, most of which we have already ran through. After that, I'm going to have you go through the first assault, and I am once again really sorry that I have to make you relive it," Sidney gives me a sympathetic look.

I shake my head immediately. "No it's alright, if it sends him to jail, I don't mind going through it as many times as I need to."

She nods slowly. "If you're sure. And then finally we will talk about the last attack."

"That sounds like a good plan."

"Okay so let's start," Sidney smiles, before making her face more stoic. "How did you meet Mr. Folly?"

"My aunt and uncle, who took me in when my parents died, are friends with his parents. So I met him for the first time at dinner my aunt and uncle held a few years back."

"Good start," Sidney assures me. "Now, I am going to warn you that the next few questions might be because I'm going to ask what you thought of him and how he acted, which could technically be objected to for relevance if Jamison really wants to. But, I will have it handled and I really doubt he will get the objection sustained because the questions will set up the relationship between the two of you."

I nod my head in understanding.

"I just want you to be prepared."

Sidney leads me through more questions about the beginning of my interactions with David, eventually leading to the stalking aspects of what has been going on recently.

"Okay so I know the majority of what happened, but are there any things you think are specifically important for stalking?"

I pause for a moment to this, feeling my hand get squeezed softly by Hyunjin, who is sitting beside me. "He followed me around campus a lot and wouldn't leave me alone when I asked. He would show up at work, wouldn't buy anything, and would just hang around until I got off. Luka could normally get him to leave before he tried anything. Um, he showed up outside my house a few times and it took threatening the police for him to leave. He was in about every basic, non major related class that I took at the university here. I know there's more, but I think those are the biggest ones."

I squeeze Hyunjin's hand back when I get the sad, knowing look from Sidney. "God Y/N, I'm so sorry this has been happening to you."

"Well, hopefully it won't anymore," I responded softly.

Sidney looks over at Hyunjin for a moment. "Will you guys be able to confirm any stalking actions?"

"We had to intervene when he wouldn't leave them alone at school when we came to pick them up before."

"Plus, their group of friends will be able to. They've been around for a lot of it," Changbin pipes up from his seat.

"Okay, that will work."

Hyunjin turns back to continue talking with the others.

Sidney moves on from stalking to the whole aunt and uncle marriage thing.
