"Okay so I have to go meet Sidney," I begin once we get into the courthouse. "You guys can go ahead and head in or you can wait out here until it's time."

"We'll head in," Chan decides. "Might as well, it won't be long until you head in anyways."

"Alright."

They give me chaste kisses on the check before they separate from me. Once they are in the room and out of my sight, my body shrinks in on itself. No one is around me right now, so I move to the side of the hallway and lean against the way, sliding down and sitting on the floor. I pull my legs into my chest, moving my head to rest against my knees and begin to take deep, slow breaths. I genuinely can't afford a panic attack right now.

"Y/N?"

I look up quickly, finding the worried face of my lawyer, Sidney Hernandez, looking down at my curled up form.

"Hey," I breath, slowly uncurling and standing up carefully. "Sorry, just a little overwhelmed."

"I know," she gives me a sympathetic smile. "I could still try talking with the judge, maybe we can go through this trial with you only having to be in the room when you're called to testify."

I shake my head immediately. "That's too many hoops for you to try and jump through. I'll be alright, it just finally hit me that I actually have to see him again. But I promise, It'll be okay."

"If you're sure," she still looks a bit apprehensive, but I understand it. "But onto other business, they are going to bring him into court in about ten minutes, I figured you would prefer to come in after, so you don't need to come in for another 20 minutes. I would suggest steering clear of the courtroom until those 20 minutes are up. Overall, I have everything prepared and today will just be the hearing to see if the case will actually go to trial, which I have no doubt it will, and we will most likely do opening statements. But that should be all today."

"Alright that sounds good," I hum, giving her a small nod.

"Okay with that out of the way, I have to head in to begin setting out what I need," Sidney gives me a small pat on the shoulder as she walks by. "I'll see you in a few."

Once she's gone, I head away from the entrance to the court room, making my way through the people in the lobby and out of the building, moving to sit at a small bench more isolated from the entrance. It lays mostly out of sight from the doors, so I feel comfortable enough that he won't see me when he is taken inside. I pull out my phone once I'm sat, sending a quick text in the group chat to let the boys know where I am and when I will be inside. I get a few responses, letting me know they got the text and put my phone back in my pocket.

"Okay this is going to go the way you want it to," I mumble to myself, hopefully hyping myself up. "Sidney said I have a very good chance at going to trial and winning. Just have faith in her and you'll be totally fine."

I sigh at the last sentence, body slumping in on itself for the second time today. "Yeah, totally fucking fine."

My eyes close slowly and I try to take in a deep breath before releasing it. This continues for a few minutes, as I really prefer not to have a panic attack right before the hearing.

Squeaky breaks knock myself from my attempts at calming myself and I open my eyes, finding a white prison transport van in front of the entrance to the courthouse. Air leaves my lungs in a rush as I see two troopers get out, helping out the man from my trauma, who's clad in a nice suit. I study him from a safe distance, he doesn't notice me, but I see him, and he doesn't look even the slightest bit nervous to be at the hearing. David stands tall as the troopers check his bindings, before escorting him away from the van and into the building. I all but gasp for air once he's out of my sight. My phone vibrates in my pocket after a bit, and I see a text from Sidney telling me to go ahead and head inside.
