The lost widow

Part 3

Nat and Yelena set you on the bed and let you sleep, after an hour Nat came back to check on you and get ready for bed as it was around midnight. As you slept you started having a nightmare, you were right back there strapped to the cold metal table being poked and prodded, you managed to pull the restraints from your wrists and run only to find yourself in the red room being prepared for the ceremony. You started speaking in your sleep.
Y/n: No, no, no please, no.
Nat heard you and peeked her head from the bathroom when she realized you were still asleep she made her way over to wake you up but before she had the chance to shake you, you jumped up in bed and screamed, she cupped your face as tears filled your eyes.
Nat: hey it's okay, your okay.
Y/n: No please, I don't want to go back, I can't go back, don't make me go back please don't-
Nat cut you off with a hug.
Nat: You're not going back, I'm not letting anyone take you. You're safe here okay?
She pulled away to look at you.
You forward a smile and nod.
Nat: Are you hungry?
Y/n: Not really- (as you said that your stomach growled reviling you hunger)
Nat chuckled and raised an eyebrow.
Nat: I'll take that as a yes. Common I'll make you something.
She sat up from the bed and headed to the kitchen and you followed.
She gestured you to sit at the counter and you happily obliged as you were actually starving science your last meal was yesterdays breakfast when you managed to steal a hotdog off a stand.
While Nat was making you food you looked around the kichen connected to the living room, it was empty wile everyone went off to their rooms.
Nat: Here (she placed a sort of sandwich in front of you)
You looked at it for a while, being scared to take a bite.
Nat: Is something wrong? I can make you something else if you don't like it.
Y/n: I don't have permission.
Nat: Oh, you don't need permission here kid. She said nudging the plate closer.
You looked at her just to check but you could only find reassurance in her expression. With hesitation you picked it up and took a bite, after that you devoured it.
Nat: Slow down there (she said laughing) I'll make you more if you what.
Y/n: I'm good tanks though.
At that moment a blond woman walk in threw the living room, you stared at her not knowing what to do.
Y: Oh I see someone is awake, (she gave you a big smile) I'm Yellena.
Y/n: Hi, I'm Y/n.
Y: Sorry about grabbing you earlier but we had to release you from the mind control.
Y/n: You have nothing to sorry about, thank you I haven't felt free sence before I can remember.
You smiled at her as Nat watched.
You felt tired again and yawned.
Nat: You should probably go back to bed, common I'll give you a change of clothes so you can get out of the suit.
She got up and wrapped her hand around your shoulder leading you back to the room. You sat on the bed as she rummaged through her closet trying to find something that would fit you. Finally she gave you some sweatpants and a shirt that was a bit big on you but it felt nice to were some normal close beside you suit.
You unzipped the suit to you waist and turned around to change.
Nat turned over to ask if you need help but went silent at the sight of your back which was covered in scars and bruises alongside new cuts that speared onto your arms, but she said nothing as her's looked the same.
As you got to your stomach you winced in pain as you took the thight suit over the fresh scar form the ceremony which still hadn't healed properly.
Nat: Are you okay?
Y/n: (while pulling up the sweatpants) Yeah, it just hasn't heals jet.
You turned in her direction reveling the scar, as soon as she saw it she new what it was from.
Nat: How old are you. (She asked with a confused look on her face)
Y/n : ( you frowned) I'm 14 what does that have to with anything?
Nat: And you already graduated!? I mean widows usually go threw this at 18, I have seen some younger ones but never at your age.
She needed down on your level asking for an explanation.
Y/n: (sigh) Well they do if your good enough,(a stray tear rolls down your check), I was practically born there, and the fact that I was Hydras lab rat didn't help.
Nat: Hydra, since when do the red room and Hydra worked together?
Y/n: Since they sold me away to the red room. My parent were Hydra filed agents or that's what they told me. I don't remember them. (more tears fall from your eyes)
Nat just listened and then hugged you
Nat: I know it's hard not knowing your past, it comes with a lot of questions but I'll hel you answer them as much as I can.
You just smiled and hugged her back.
Nat: Now let's go to bed before you fall asleep on me again, ( she smiled lifting the duvet of the bed making you a spot)
You laid down and she got in next to you turned off the light and shortly after you drifted off to sleep.
You managed to sleep threw the whole night without waking up from a nightmare.

In the morning you slowly woke up looking around and remembering the events of last night. You got up and went to the bathroom, as you went back to the room Nat entered the room.
Nat: Hey, good morning.
Y/n: morning, you looked at her not knowing what to do.
Nat: Are you up for breakfast?
You nodded your head not saying anything and headed for the door.
When you walked down to the kitchen it was full of people who all stopped what they were doing and looked at you.
This made you nervous and you stopped in you tracks, but continued walking towards them as Nat wrapped her hand around you back and led you to the counter where you were last night.
She set a plate in front of you and you started eating, after you were finished Nat led you to the living room and you sat on a couch furthest from everyone.
Nat: Okay Y/n these are the Avengers but you probably know that as you were tasked to keep tabs on us, (she noticed you get visibly more uncomfortable and tried lightening the mood) well why dont you introduce yourself.
Y/n: Hi ( you said not looking up from the floor)
You mustered up some courage.
Y/n: I'm Y/n, I'm sorry about the whole spying part I didn't really have a choice (you started talking faster) I had to do it and-
Tony: Woah slow down there it's okay, Natasha caught us up to the story.
Steve: It's kind of a right of passage at this point.
Every one laughed.
You nervously laugh, looking across the room of people you saw, Tony, Natasha, Bruse, Wanda, Steve, Bucky, Yelena, Thor, Sam, Pepper  and Morgan.
Everyone started chatting and you became more relaxed.
Tony: Anyways I started clearing a spare room it should be done tomorrow.
Y/n: Really, I get my own room. ( Your eyes filled with joy as you smiled)
Everyone smiled at you reaction
Wanda: You'll get used to it, Tony likes to go all extra.
You looked at her and smiled.
Nat: Well hate to be the party pooper but I have to tell you some bad news, you start school on Monday, it's Friday so you'll have enough time to prepare.
Y/n: What, really you'll let me go?
Nat: Well that sure wasn't the reaction I was expecting but yes, you'll get to go to school, your going with Peter.
Y/n: Spiderman?
Nat: Yes but no one there knows that.
Morgan: Wow you really have never been to school.
Y/n: I have never been to school I mean yeah we got thought at the red room, and I essentially have a highschool diploma-
Tony: But your 14, how's that possible?
Y/n: Let's just say you get a spread course threw life and get sent to kill people. You give him a crooked smile as he watched with a cursed look on his face wile Morgan laughs.
You spent the rest of the day getting to know everyone and playing with Morgan who insisted showing you all her toys, you enjoyed the normal feeling of getting to be a kid.
