Chapter 9: Marshmallow.

The time was passing by like a thin air. Chaeyoung had suggested to you to move in with her and not find any other place to stay. It wasn't a bad idea if you thought about it. You and her together. Especially now that you wanted things between the two of you to be right this time.

It was late evening and you had came back from work really exhausted. You've got back from the office since you were investigating a case about your client. As a lawyer you had to do the whole speech and everything to defend your client well especially now that your client was the victim.

"Hey.." you mouthed exhausted the moment you got into the apartment. You looked around the dark apartment but Chaeyoung was nowhere to be found. At first you thought that she might be out with her friends or sleeping already.

Then a gagging sound was heard from the bathroom. You immediately went to check on her leaving your things on the floor and rushing towards the bathroom to find her brushing her teeth.

"Lord I was so worried.. I thought something happened.." you sighed in relief the moment you saw her, patting her head gently.

She felt that you were tired. She was looking in the mirror, her face was still looking sleepy but her voice sounded very warm. She looked more awake now and her face was bright when she saw you.

"I'm fine, just brushing my teeth.. What are you doing back so late?" she rubbed her eyes to see you correctly with her pretty eyes. Her mind was filled with words she wanted to say.

"I had this case and I really had to work hard on it.." you explained leaning your body on the doorframe with your hands crossed on your chest.

"You look tired, did the case went well?" she looked at you a bit worried, she wanted you to be fine more than everything.

Your eyes were filled with exhaustion and your face was still tired, if you stayed longer at work, something might happen to you.

She wanted to say that you should rest, but she couldn't speak after seeing your eyes, you looked so vulnerable right now, like you were in need of help.

"Let's talk, you can rest.." she said as she looked at you in an intimate way.

You two walked towards the bedroom with her as you untied your tie and unbuttoned some buttons of your shirt.

"Well kind of but I still have to go back tomorrow since the case it's not over.. I'm trying my best for my client and her justice." you muttered with a big yawn feeling your eyes closing.

You sat in the edge of the bed without even taking off your clothes, you were just sitting there ready to sleep, she could see that you were exhausted.

She felt bad for you, she understood that you wanted everything to make your client win but you were killing yourself for this.

She sat on one edge of the bed, right beside you, her arms were wrapped around your body and she was giving you a small hug.

"Let's cuddle.. you're too tired and the case makes you feel like you need to sleep more.." she said as her voice sounded soft and sleepy again.

"You're right love.." you slipped out of your mouth without thinking about it. You weren't officially together but of course you had a thing for each other, that was obvious. Yet you didn't care that you called her "love" all of a sudden instead you just smiled with your eyes closed and your tired face.

Your words made her so happy and she couldn't stop her body from trembling, even though it was still tired. She looked like a sleepy puppy, looking for some cuddling, but a part of her was also in need of it.
