"Chaeyoung tell me is he a family friend?" you asked the little girl who was crying uncontrollably. You took her in your arms because you couldn't dare to see her cry like that. "I promise we will do everything for your father you just need to collaborate with us okay?" you whispered sweetly to her.
"Yes, he is a family friend," Chaeyoung said while still looking down. There was definitely something she wasn't telling you about Lee Donghun.
"Can you tell us how he and your mom know each other?" Sana asked. Chaeyoung was still hiding something but you felt that she was starting to become a little bit more comfortable.
"He works with my mom." Chaeyoung said softly. There was something that did not make sense in all of this. Why wouldn't she just tell you everything right away?
"So they see each other often I see. Call the NYPD and tell them she's here. Also tell them about Lee Donghun." you whispered to Sana and got out of the room to see what Miyeon was doing. Once you were out she started running away from you.
"HEY HEY STOP!" you yelled running from behind her. She ran out of the building and got into the parking lot of the hospital, she then opened her bag and took a gun out of it.
"Shit.." you muttered raising your hands up. "Miyeon please I'm not here to hurt you." you said trying to calm her down.
Miyeon looked back and pointed the gun at you. She was clearly in a very nervous state and she didn't trust you at all at that moment. "Don't make a single move or else." Miyeon said while her hands were shaking a little bit.
She wanted to get away from you and go warn Lee Donghun about the new development in the case. She probably knew something that you didn't know yet.
"Miyeon, don't do anything crazy." Sana said in a calm voice while approaching Miyeon.
"Sana please go check on Chaeyoung I'll handle this. Call the NYDP quickly." you said trying to approach slowly Miyeon. You were risking your life right now.
"Okay, I'll call the NYPD." Sana said as she took out her phone to call the police. While she was dialing the number, she looked at you with a worried expression as she saw you risk your life to deal with Miyeon.
Miyeon kept the gun pointed at you while you slowly approached her. "Don't take a single step closer." Miyeon said while her hands were shaking a little bit. She looked very nervous and ready to defend herself if you took the wrong move.
You then did an unexpected and really fast move attacking her and kicking with your leg the gun off her hands before pressing her against a car and handcuffing her hands. "Wait till the police is here." You said keeping her close to you while pressing her against the car.
Mi Yeon was caught by surprise when you kicked off the gun from her hands. Her eyes were wide open and she looked extremely surprised by your move.
She couldn't do anything but listen to you and you handcuffed her hands while keeping her close to you. Mi Yeon couldn't say anything, you were in control of the situation now.
After what felt like an hour, the NYPD arrived on the scene. "We've heard there is a suspect in the area, what is going on?" A police officer said as he saw the two of you.
"It's her. And there is a man Lee Donghun involved in the attack of David Doe." you explained to the police officers and gave them the permission to take her away.
Mi Yeon was taken away right away by the NYPD. She made no resistance and just let herself be arrested. She didn't want to make the situation worse than it already was.
You felt that you got one step closer to solve the case. You and the NYPD had discovered two key suspects: Mi Yeon and Lee Donghun.
You waited for a few moments and then you decided to go back to the hospital room where you wanted to ask a couple more questions to Chaeyoung.
