Voices of delight (Son Chaeyoung x f reader)

Chapter 43: Just be yourself.

"Do you need my jacket it's a bit cold?" you said softly feeling the cold breeze. You stopped walking taking off your shoulders your backpack and then your warm jacket to give it to her. "Here." you added handing her your jacket leaving you only in a t-shirt. 

Chaeyoung looked at you a little bit surprised. She didn't think you would be giving your coat just to protect her from the cold.

She accepted your offer and she looked at you once again with that sweet and innocent smile on her face. Chaeyoung walked next to you again but this time she decided to hold hands with you, trying to show you how happy she felt.

She felt safe and comfortable with you and you both kept walking towards your apartment while you both enjoyed the moment of being together in that cold night.

"Did you have fun staying at your mother's house while I was gone?" you asked while walking down the empty streets. You were looking around mostly in the sky and enjoyed the feeling of this beautiful night.

"I did." Chaeyoung replied looking at you with a sweet smile on her face. "Being with my mother and brother it's my comfort zone. I'm always happy to see her and I always love when she cooks me those delicious food. You know I live for food."  She said with a cute voice.

Chaeyoung really enjoyed her time at her mother's house. She felt like a kid again and that was something that she also needed in her busy days.

"I know. I'm glad you had fun" you replied and smiled along with her. It felt nice to have her by your side, walking casually on the streets in the middle of the night.

"By the way Jeongyeon told me that you went out with her and Nayeon this days. Was it fun? If not I'll make them pay for not entertaining and not taking good care of my girlfriend while I was gone." you said jokingly and made a mad expression as for your voice it was dead serious.

You two kept walking happily and once you made that joke, Chaeyoung was surprised.

She thought that you were being serious so for a moment she felt a bit scared of your reaction towards your friends. But then she realized that you were only joking. She got really comfortable and she smiled once again.

"Yes, it was fun." Said Chaeyoung with a cheeky tone. "And you better not touch our friends, they did a lot for me just for you to think like that about them." She added as she playfully bumped you with her shoulder.

"Oh come on you know I'm joking.. I would never do such a thing to them." you replied as you felt yourself being a bit pushed by Chaeyoung. You chuckled and patted her head gently before kissing her forehead.

Chaeyoung felt your kiss on her forehead and a soft smile was drawn on her face. She enjoyed those sweet and small gestures that you both used to do for each other.

She had so much love for you and she couldn't wait to get to the apartment to show you that.

"Do you know what I was doing this whole week that you were gone?" she asked in a deep tone, still holding your hands.

"You were working, you had fun with friends and family.. hmmm what else." you started as you thought about what other things she might did while you were gone. "I don't know what else.." you then said and shrugged.

Chaeyoung chuckled and kept walking with you down the empty streets. She looked at you once again and decided to stay silent for a moment.

She looked at your cute expressions and you both didn't talk in that moment, just a soft smile was seen on your faces.

"Let me tell you... I thought a lot about you, I missed you a lot. And I was crying sometimes." she said in a soft and delicate tone. She wanted you to know how much you meant for her and she felt that it was important for you to know that.
