Chapter 35: Turn it up.

Time skip

The trip went on smoothly and now you were coming back to the big city. It was already late at night and you were driving careful while Chaeyoung was asleep in the passenger seat.

Her window was wide open and you closed it because a cold breeze was coming inside and you didn't want her to catch cold or anything.

Chaeyoung kept on sleeping after you closed the window as she was too tired to wake up at this moment.

A small snore could be heard coming from her as she was sleeping like a child in this position and she looked so peaceful and relaxed.

She didn't want to wake up at this moment as she knew that there was a lot of work for her to do at home but that could wait for tomorrow.

In this moment, she only wanted to rest as you drove both of you back to the big city after the trip.

The next morning

You had woken up really early to go to work leaving some breakfast and coffee for Chaeyoung for when she would wake up.

You went into your office and found your secretary there waiting for you with some files. "Good morning Sana." you mouthed happily once you got inside the office.

"Good morning Y/N! I hope you are doing well?" Sana said with a bright smile. She came to work early to prepare everything for your busy day ahead.

Sana was really proud of how much she have grown in the last few months. She felt confident in her role as your secretary, and she was ready to take on new challenges.

"Here are the files you need for your morning meeting." Sana said as she gave you a stack of papers. "Do you need anything else?" she added.

"No not at all, thank you. Did anyone passed this days that I was gone?" you asked taking off your leather jacket putting it on the chair carefully before sitting down.

"I made sure to take care of everything while you were gone. There are just a few emails that need your attention, but otherwise, everything is under control." Sana said confidently. She always made sure to stay on top of her work, and she never missed a detail.

"Thank you for informing me." you said with a slight bow, you opened the files to look at as you waited for your laptop to turn on and take a look at your emails.

"No problem." Sana said as she started organizing her desk while you checked your emails. Every morning she made sure that your desk was organized and everything was ready for you.

Sana never liked when things were in chaos, and in general she was a really meticulous person when it came to her work.

She sat across from you as you sat down. You noticed her hands were shaking slightly, and she was nervous to tell you something. "There's something... I want to talk to you about, Y/N." she whispered quietly.

"Tell me, I might can help you." you said not taking your eyes off the files.

"Well... it's about my job, Y/N. I know how hard I've been working lately." Sana said looking down at her lap. She still had the shaking hands, and it looked like her nerves were getting the best of her.

"I was wondering if there's any chance... that I would get promoted?" she finally asked you. Sana took a deep breath and looked back up at you. The question she asked was the one she wanted to ask for weeks now, but she was never brave enough to.

"Oh that." you said putting the files to the side and taking a small notebook out. You started writing about her promotion on it and that she would get 50% more. You knew how hardworking and good Sana was at what she was doing so she deserved to have a raise.
