SPELIVIA 2 ?

a loss and a win

"congrats on the win baby!" olivia cheers, holding spencer's hand as they were walking down the street on a late night after a celebratory win.

"thank you. none of it could've been possible without you cheering for me in the stands!"

"well, you know me, i will always be your good luck charm, well... the both of us..." she rubs her pregnant belly. ever since olivia had told spencer about their baby and the gender, that gave him all the confidence he needed to win their state championship game. but with all that feeling the need to be celebrated, he also had something else he was dealing with before the game, having the need to tell his longtime girlfriend.

"hey um, there was a reason i sucked really bad earlier in the game."

olivia becomes confused. "what do you mean?"

just as he was about to answer, out of nowhere, a car comes out of nowhere speeding down the street, coming towards them. in the moment, liv pushes spencer out of the way, sacrificing her body for his.

she flies through the car, falling hard on the ground. spencer's in shock as he runs to her body. he repeatedly yells out her name, seeing if she can be able to move or speak, but nothing came about.

"olivia! liv! baby! oh god!"

jordan comes running, immediately witnessing his sister on the ground. "jesus olivia! spencer, what the hell happened?!"

"they just hit her man!" spencer screams out, voice trembling in fear.

"i'll call 911!"

while jordan pulls out his phone, spencer decides in the moment to sprint to the car that hit his girlfriend and his unborn baby. in extreme anger, he drags a man out of the car, beating the hell out of him.

"what did you do?" he puts one punch in.

"you son of a bitch!" he puts another one in.

"that's my girlfriend and our fucking baby!" he puts another in.

the ambulance & police arrive, putting olivia on the stretcher. spencer looks down at the guy one last time, contemplating whether or not to continue beating him. immediate thoughts about olivia came into his head. and for that reason, he stops. he runs back to get into the truck with jordan informing spencer that he will catch up with him.

"please help her. she's pregnant!" the paramedics nod their head as they focus on treating olivia. spencer tearfully holds her hand, just praying that his loved ones will be ok.

spencer sits near liv on the hospital bed as he awaits for any kind of news regarding both of his loved ones' health. "olivia... i can't lose you too. i already lost my father. i just can't bear to lose you as well. especially with our pride & joy on the way. please... please come back to me. the both of you. please..."

just when you thought all was lost, a raspy but soft voice jumps spencer out of his mind.

"don't worry..." he pierces up to her.

"you'll never lose us." olivia's eyes slightly open as she turns her head to face her boyfriend. weeping with tears of joy, spencer gives her a gentle kiss on the forehead as he holds onto her hand and rubs her belly for dear life.

"is our baby ok?"

"the doctor hasn't come back yet. why won't we rest up and wait?"

"but i wanna know now. baby, this is our first child." she tears up tiredly.

"i know. i know but we have to wait. the doctor will be here soon ok? let's just calm down and wait. just for a little bit."

liv tiredly sighs. "ok?" she nods.

just before liv was about to fall asleep, a nurse comes in. "hi, olivia. how are you feeling? i'm dr. connors."

"hi, dr. connors. i feel really weak and in a lot of pain. but that doesn't really matter. i wanna know how our baby's doing."

"well actually it does matter because there's something i have to tell you." and just like that, liv's eyes shoots open as her & spencer await the news.

"life doesn't feel real, it feels so empty." olivia walks into her and spencer's bedroom, with the pair holding blank and tearful faces.

"you just... don't think about it until you do and it's the most horrible feeling in the world..." she keeps going as spencer looks onto her, laying on the bed, frozen.

"we were going to have a life together, we were going to be one big happy family..." olivia's tears start to show more and more as she starts to breakdown.

"but she's not here. she's not here and i feel like i failed us spencer!" she breaks down on the floor, with spencer rushing to catch her onto his arms. he helps onto the bed as they hold onto each other, just letting their emotions out.

"listen to me, you have and will never fail us, ok?"

"we have done everything right. but things happen. and even though god doesn't mean for it to happen, it just does. and that's the hard part we have to accept."

"we've been accepting this pain for months." liv replies.

"i know baby, i know. it's been a long time but somehow, someway we have to figure out a way to live on and not have to curry that kind of burden with us for the rest of our lives."

"how?"

"well, we may never have our daughter here with us, we can always keep memories with her. for example, the necklace you bought us. you gave us a necklace that said her name and the date of her birth. well the date may not been correct per say..." a chuckle comes out of both.

"we were still very excited and we were still keeping hope, just like how we can now. and in the future." liv sniffles, nodding as she takes a deep breath, realizing that this kind of process will take some time to heal from.

"but, listen when i say this. well, we're obviously not going to do it now. we can always... and i mean always... try again."

"and be one big happy family together." he holds the necklace, making liv cry again.

she tearfully nods as she embraces spencer, knowing that even though they're going through a rough patch now, a miracle will happen again where they don't have to experience loss.

"i love you spencer. i love you so much baby."

"i love you too."
