My Little Rant

Good day and welcome to my first little rant about my experience with books in general. Please feel free to skip this little tid-bit here if you guys are not interested, but for those of you that do, you guys will be hearing about me, my personal view on books and about my reasons for creating this book.

Okay, game face, here we go.

First off let me tell you guys that my name is Gatlen. I am a Canadian Cree person from Saskatchewan and have plans to attend my second year of university this coming fall.

I also come from a family of ten children, two mothers and one father. Long story short, my dad had a wife before he met my mother and decided to have kids together. He has two kids (my adoptive and half siblings) that are not his own but treats them like they are.

I absolutely love to read and watch anime.

My favorite animes are Black Butler, Inuyasha, Avatar: The Last Airbender, The Legend of Korra, Kokkori san, Another, Lucky Star, Ouran High School Host Club, Card Captor and Princess Jellyfish.

I would consider myself an Otaku seeing as I like to chill in my creepy basement, but I also like the outdoors and talking with family.

Okay now for the actual rant part.

Like what the hell. Okay please don't kill me for this but what is up with a lot of fanfictions? Don't get me wrong but I love fanfictions, it's why I started writing, but like...wow. I always end up reading ones that are very negative or violent.

I could not tell you how many times I've sat in my room and read book after book of One Direction bromances and other stories, but why do a lot of them go into intense negative situations.

It's not only fanfictions that do not use logic a lot of the time but novels as well. They always overuse the helpless 'I have no idea what to do' thing that seriously has me facepalming a lot.

What happened to the phone they carry, the actual effort to save themselves instead of sustaining serious and scarring injuries?

Last time I checked, kids had no qualms about shooting a person through the head in a co-op mission or something.

I get that these problems do get attention from readers, but my goodness, do the boys usually have to go through a war zone to have entertainment fulfilled?

I know that this is simply fiction, but when I write my stuff I keep in mind that what if 1D comes across my fanfictions and start reading? Imagine the hurt on their faces if my books were like others on here?

Just imagine if you wrote a book about Harry being an abusive alcoholic who beats women, Niall a violent schizophrenic that has a cutting problem, Louis is a hooker on the streets that abandoned his children, Zayn is a drug addict or Liam is that man whore who just wants a good shag without attachment?

I could not handle the thought of them reading my stuff if it was like this, I would be so disappointed in myself. However, I will acknowledge that stuff like this does happen in the real world, but I did not sign up to read about the less fortunate and feel horrible afterwards.
