A/N: Okay, so I'm running out of chapter spots here and half of my ideas for the story still have to be used, so I wanted to make a little jump here, just by a week. Also, Don't Forget Where You Belong by 1D is on the side, enjoy!

Maura's POV

Finally, today is the day Niall and Liam come back from their tour! And today, Jack, the cats, Zayn's girlfriend Perrie and Karen and Geoff decorated the living room from their return. We have invited others, but it was a last minute thing.

Although, Jack simply made gurgling sounds and sat on the couch, looking all cute and cuddly, while Karen oggled the boy while the cats played with stray pieces of streamers.

"Oh my Gosh! I can't wait for the boys to get here." Pierre squealed, she was not only in a relationship with Zayn but also a good friend to my son.

"It shouldn't be too long now." Karen says as I hang up the last piece of green and white streamers. My son had told me last night that he had big news for me, and I just have to wonder what it is.

Is it marriage, another adoption or an announcement of their first time?

These things tend to boggle up my mind so I opt for pushing them aside until Niall tells me up front. Just as I walk into the kitchen, I notice that I have forgotten refreshments. I spent the whole morning cooking for the big day that I forgot to go out and buy drinks! Well, perhaps a quick trip to the town store will fix that.

But I will need some company.

"Karen, do you and Jack want to come to the store with me? I completely forgot the drinks."

"Oh let's get going then, the boys will be home in an hour."

Once we're all set with Jack strapped into his car seat, I get into the car with Karen driving and I riding passenger.

"Say, Karen, would you happen to know about the news Niall and Liam have to tell us?" I say once the silence has gone on for more than the car ride, but luckily the store isn't that far from Niall's house.

This, however, seems to make the lady squirm in her seat as she drives, I now have an idea of which parent Liam gets not being able to lie from.

"Well...Liam may have told us-"

"Oh no no, it's fine Karen, I'll wait for Niall to tell me. I'm sure he would want me to hear it from himself."

"Oh thank goodness." Karen breaths out, a relieved smile on her face. We then both chuckle, enjoying each others company and the peace we share, knowing our families became so close.

Now I have to wonder if Anne, Jay and Trisha will make the party. I hope they do...

"Okay, this is the one right?" I look up surprised that we made it in under five minutes and that the store doesn't look like a run down truck stop. Stepping out of the car, Karen taking Jack out and carrying him in with us, we step into the store and immediately head for all the cold drinks.

My boys have quit drinking now that they're raising kids, and I am so proud that they've done the same thing Bobby and I had when they were young. When Niall and Greg were little, they had this air of curiosity and purity while they waddled around, looking for new things to play with; and at the time I got pregnant with Greg, I couldn't bring myself to harm a child I wanted so much. Thinking about today makes me happy that I made those choices all those years ago.

As things are going smoothly today, this store of the little community has a large selection of soda to juice to milk based products. It does take a bit of thinking, but five big bottles of soda later we head to the till.
