NaamariElijah Blackwood "Drift/Mar"
My leg violently shook sitting in the holding cell. I'd fucked up bad as hell and got caught slipping. The police had my phone so I didn't have any way of contacting nobody.
When i finally got my phone call, i tried to call Corai but she ain't answer the phone. I hoped she was okay but my gut was telling me something bad happened.
"Blackwood, you're free to go." The officer spoke unlocking the cell. I mugged him and walked out, seeing the gang and Corai's uncle, Calvin Sr.
I didn't see Coco, "where Coco at?" I asked furrowing my brow.
They looked at each other.
My heart sank, "where the fuck is Corai!" i said raising my voice a little this time.
"they took her" lauren sniffled.
"who?" my jaw clenched and my upper lip twitched.
"we don't know. it could've been anyone from our past.." Calvin sr spoke up.
"Dee gimme ya keys."
"Naamari, don't go out here doing something dumb!" I heard Tori yell.
I nodded walking pass everyone. I got into the car and drove around looking for her.
My chest heaved up and down.
I couldn't breath.
I closed my eyes and thought about what Corai told me to do in situations like these.
Flashback
I'd just gotten back from my sisters house. My mind was racing and my chest felt tight.
This was the third time that this happened to me. I went into my room grabbing my pills off the dresser, I couldn't open the bottle. Out of anger, i threw the bottle against the wall and all of the pills spilled out. "fuck" i yelled out.
"naamari what's wrong?" Corai's soft voice whispered in my ear.
"I-" i tried to speak but nothing came out.
"you're having a panic attack, come here." she led me to my bed, sitting down she sat on my lap, straddling me.
"listen to my voice and follow my breathing." she softly spoke, breathing in and out slowly.
"In and out. In and out. you got it." she smiled, her hand on my chest.
I did as directed and sure enough my breathing became regular. "thank you luh baby." i cheesed holding her hand.
I leaned in and planted a small kiss on her lips. It took a minute before she kissed me back. "let's take a nap. i can cook later." she spoke in a hush tone.
She laid on her back with me in between her legs. I laid my head on her stomach while she played in my hair.
I felt her fingers comb my scalp which made me fall asleep faster.
end of flashback
My breathing became regular again. "I swear i'ma do whatever to get you back luh baby. I'm coming for you, Coco. Stay strong." I sniffled back tears. I started the car and pulled off to my destination.

Corai's eyes drifted open, the urge to scream came over her but she couldn't due to the pain from the beatings she'd received since being captured.
She silently prayed that someone would save her from the abuse. "you're finally awake. Hi cousin." Caia cheerfully smiled holding a knife in her hand.
"what the hell caia! why?" Corai sniffled tears falling down her face.
"you think your so special, well news flash you aren't! Ever since you came to live with us my life has been hell. You took everything from me, my parents and my man. you deserve everything that's coming to you. This is only the beginning baby cousin. I'm going to make your life a living hell." Caia evilly laughed, tracing Coco's arm with the knife.
A confused Coco looked in disbelief at her cousin. They didn't have the best relationship but she loved her cousin, they were best of friends as kids. But now, coco feared her big cousin.
Was it jealousy?
"now i need you to be a good girl. This'll only last for a minute. Depending on how you act, ofcourse." An unhinged Caia smiled. She stood to her feet and walked to the door, opening it she walked out and two masked guys came inside of the room.
Corai's tears fell harder than before. Her heart raced as she was forcefully held down while they took turns assaulting her.
When it was over the men left smiling and laughing. One of them even recorded the assault to send to Corai's friends and family, per Caia's request.
Caia knew someone had to be looking for Corai. She wanted one person to rescue Corai and it was only a matter of time before he found out where they were.
"What are we going to do with her baby?" SaQuan looked at Caia.
"torture her until I'm done or until they come get her." she shrugged. "i have to leave, i love you baby." Caia passionately kissed her man. She had to play the part as if she wasn't the one who kidnapped Corai.
