Waiting and faith are the two main keys to success.
Easily arguable but true. And that's exactly what I'm doing. I overheard my two best friends, GoGo and Honey Lemon talking in the girls bathroom yesterday about my crush, Hiro.
Flashback.
"So, do you think he's gonna woman up?" GoGo asked Honey Lemon. Honey Lemon laughed.
"He said something about telling (y/n) tomorrow." Honey Lemon replied. My breath hitched at my name.
What was Hiro going to tell me?
"She's watching the taxi driver, he pulls away
She's been locked up inside her apartment a hundred days
She says, "Yeah, he's still coming, just a little bit late.
He got stuck at the laundromat washing his cape."
She's just watching the clouds roll by and they spell her name

And she smiles, oh the way she smiles

Waiting for Superman to pick her up

"It's about time he confessed to her." GoGo muttered.
"Shh! Not to loud." Honey Lemon whispered. GoGo rolled her eyes as I slipped away, excitement filled me whole.
Flash back end.
I came to school early that day, to give Hiro plenty of time to confess but he never mentioned his feelings once.
We talked about up coming projects and presentations but he would always push away from the feelings topic.
"So uh... See you after class? We can hang at my place." He offered. That was it!
I was almost positive that would be when he confessed! The day flew by extremely quickly and soon it was time to go to Hiro's house.
I met him at the front of the school gate and we walked back to the Lucky Cat Cafe.
"She's out on the corner trying to catch a glimpse
Nothing's making sense
She's been chasing an answer, a sign lost in the abyss,
This Metropolis
She says, "Yeah, he's still coming, just a little bit late.
He got stuck at the Five and Dime saving the day."
She says, "If life was a movie, then it wouldn't end like this,
Left without a kiss."
Still, she smiles, oh, the way she smiles, yeah"
We spent time at his place and he still didn't confess. I was dying inside, smiling to hide the truth. But as the seconds ticked by, my feeling that he would confess slowly slipped away.
Did he really put me in the friend zone like that?

I sighed and smiled as I waved goodbye to Hiro. I picked up my shoulder bag and started to pull my shoes on which were next to the door.
I stood up and waved before turning around and heading out the door. I guess I was wrong, he didn't love me after all...
Hiro ran after me and called my name. "(Y/N) WAIT!" He called. I whipped my head around as he came down the rest of the stairs.
"Yes Hiro?" I asked hopefully.
"You forgot something." He stated, crushing my last hope.
"...to lift her up and take her anywhere
Show her love and flying through the air
Save her now before it's too late tonight

"Oh... Thanks, what did I forget?" I asked. He wasn't holding anything that would be mine. Unless he wanted me to go back up to his room with him to get it.
"Um... This." He said, handing me a navy blue hoodie. I frown in confusion. "It might get cold." He shrugged.
"Thanks." I fake smiled, turning to go once more when he pulled me back.
"...to lift her up and take her anywhere

He spun me around and stared at me. "You also forgot this." He whispered, leaning in and kissing my lips.
He confessed.
He confessed...
He confessed?!!!
My heart began racing as I kissed the love of my life back.
