"Dear archons, I don't even know where to begin..." Mona grumbled, her form now standing right in front of you as she pinched the skin between her eyes in frustration.

You kept a composed front, looking at her with a faked confused expression, "I'm sorry, do I know you?"

"Save it, you." Mona's eyebrows lowered as she glared into you. Her words depicted that she saw through your facade instantly, which caused you to shut up immediately. She continued to berate you, sounding conflicted— stressed even, "Do you know how hard it's been now that my readings aren't accurate anymore? Everything is just— wrong! Astrology has always been my field of expertise, yet now everything is wavering!"

You had an unchanged look of confusion on your face, "...What does that have to do with me?"

"It has everything to do with you!" Mona lashed out, keeping her voice raised as she yelled at you. "Fate is always an exact concept, it never falters and never trembles. Yet— Everything is faltering! It's like the concept of 'fate' is about to crumble. Everything is disorganized in what you call— a literal mess."

Mona had never been seen this way, even in the game. Even despite tensions, she kept herself relatively composed. Something had to have happened for her to act out like this. She was truly at her wits end— her patience past its limits and already completely stressed out.

Suddenly, a loud rumbling sound interrupted Mona's frustration. It went quiet, almost awkward as you both stood in silence.

The source of the sound? Mona's stomach.

"...How about I pay for a meal for you at Good Hunter?" You slowly suggested, unsure of what else to do. You needed a way to pass the time while Aether and them went to the temples, after all...

Mona cleared her throat, playing off the growing embarrassment she was feeling, "That would be very much appreciated— yes."

And so, you found yourself sitting across the table from Astrologist Mona Megistus. If you were being completely honest, you had understood none of what she berated you about. Yet, you had not an opportunity to ask her to elaborate as she chowed down on the food you paid for with your mora.

You watched as Mona ate, gulping down her food as if this were her last meal. Was she starving? Had she not eaten in a while?

"What are you doing in Mondstadt?" You finally spoke, your question breaking the quietness between the two of you. Mona then swallowed her last bit of food before responding, now seeming much more collected.

"I came to find you." Mona replied with a haughty tone, "It was an easy task, really. I simply discerned that all these mishaps in my astrology were caused by one person, and singled you out from the rest of Teyvat."

You blinked slowly, skeptical of her words. Singled you out from the rest of Teyvat? That didn't seem like such an easy task...

"You singled me out? That doesn't sound like such an easy task." You leaned back in your chair, crossing your arms as you eyed her suspiciously.
