Thunder rumbled in the sky as Marisa sat in the very back of the school bus with Scott and stiles next to her. Marisa's hair was thrown in a messy bun with pieces sticking out around her face. She wore no makeup so u could see the tiredness painted all over her face. She wore black leggings and a black long sleeve shirt that she had pulled over her hands with her head resting on the back window, looking outside. Stiles looked down at his tablet intensely as Scott laid his head on the window with a depressed expression, as did Marisa, only she was sitting against the window with her feet on stiles lap and her eyes staring down at her hands, her head resting on the back of the bus as she remembered the events of the night before. The night everything changed.

"Yo Scotty?" Stiles spoke, snapping Scott out of his trance and making him look at him "Scotty? Still with me?" He asked

"Yeah. Sorry" Scott nodded "what's the word?" He asked

"Anachronism." Stiles answered

"Something that exists out of its normal time." Scott answered

"Nice! Okay, next word-- "incongruous."

"Uh, can you use it in a sentence?" Scott asked

"Yes. Yes, I can! It's completely incongruous that we're sitting on a bus right now, on our way to some stupid cross-country meet, after what just happened. Incongruous." Stiles spoke

"Out of place, ridiculous, absurd." Scott answered

"Perfect. Okay, next word. Um... Darach." Stiles told him and Scott gave him a look "Darach. It's a noun?" He sighed "We have to talk about it sometime, okay? And we're gonna be stuck in this thing for, like, five hours, so why not?" He asked and Scott looked away, ignoring him. Stiles sighed "Next word... "Intransigent."

"Stubborn, obstinate..." Scott spoke when the bus hit a bump making Scott hold his stomach in pain as he groaned

"Oh, buddy, you okay?" Stiles asked. "We shouldn't have come. I knew it-- we shouldn't have come."

"We had to. There's safety in numbers." Scott told him

"Yeah, well, there's also death in numbers, okay? It's called a "massacre"." Stiles told him. "Or "bloodbath..." "Carnage..." "Slaughter..."
"Butchery...""Wow, that's..." he paused as Scott groaned in pain "All right, I'm telling Coach that.."

"No, no, no, no, I'm all right." Scott stopped him

"Well, you don't look all right! Would you just let me see it?" Stiles asked

"I'm okay..." scott told him weakily

"Just let me see it, okay?" Stiles told him sternly. Scott sighed

"Okay..." he agreed before pulling up his shirt to reveal the slash marks on Scott's stomach

"Oh, dude..."

"I know it's bad, but it's because they're from an Alpha-- it'll take longer to heal."

"How come Boyd and Isaac are fine, then? And Marisa?" Stiles asked. Scott sighed

"I can't believe he's dead..." he spoke. He looked out the window sadly "I can't believe Derek's dead."

"I can't believe we're missing Calins wake for this" lydia sighed as she sat in the car with Allison driving behind the bus.

"Calin would understand" Allison told her

"Yeah. I know Calin would understand but this wasn't how it was supposed to go" lydia argued slightly "we were all supposed to go together. U me and Marisa"

"She wasn't gonna go anyway, lydia. U know that"

"Yes. I know that, but we were gonna make her. We were gonna make her go and see the ashes and mourn her. All she's done is block it out and cover it up in anger when she needs to feel it"
