"So the Walcotts were the first. At least the first that we know about. Four murders. Sean, his brother and their parents. They were killed by a professional assassin called The Mute. Weapon of choice, a military tomahawk. But then The Mute was killed by Peter Hale after he tried to blow up Derek with a Claymore mine.
Next was Demarco. He delivered a keg to the party at Lydia's lake house and got decapitated outside his car.
And then last night, 23 year old Carrie Hudson."
Stiles spoke as he build his murder board.
"It's a Deadpool." Scott told the sheriff as he, stiles and Marisa stood with him in his office "A hit list of supernatural creatures" he explained before handing the sheriff part of the list "This is only part of it. The rest still has to be decoded."
"Who found this list?" The sheriff asked
"Lydia" stiles answered.
"How?"
"She wrote it. Actually, she transcribed it. Without realizing it." Stiles explained
"Banshee?" The sheriff asked and stiles nodded
"Banshee" he agreed.
"Beautiful" the sheriff muttered "alright, what r these numbers next to the names?" He asked
"We're getting to that" Stiles answered "First, u need to know that the code was broken with a cipher key."
"Wait. U mean like a..like a key word?" His father asked
"It's actually a name" Stiles told him with a shrug
"Allison" Marisa muttered making them all look at her as she looked down, fiddling with her hands.
"Her name broke a third of the list" Stiles continued.
"And now we think there's two other cipher keys" Scott spoke up
"Which will give us the rest of the names" the sheriff nodded and the three teenagers nodded in confirmation. "Ok. So how do we get the cipher keys?"
"Same way we got the code" stiles shrugged
"Lydia" Marisa and Scott uttered in unison.
"She's been at the lake house all weekend trying to find the other two key words" Marisa told him.
The sheriff looked down at pictures of the dead bodies as the three teenagers still stood in front of him
"U didn't know about Demarco of Carrie, hm?" He asked and the three shook their heads no "and what about these other two names on the list? Uh..Kathleen Battcher and Elias Town" he read. "R they werewolves too?"
"We don't know" Marisa shrugged
"but deaton said that the nemeton would draw supernaturals creatures here" Scott added
"Here being beacon hills? Or beacon county?" The sheriff asked "the population of beacon hills is just under 30,000."
"And dropping" Stiles commented and his dad gave him a look
"But if we're talking beacon county, then ur looking at closer to 500,000. Look, how many werewolves, banshees, kitsunes, huntress wolves and whatever the hell esle us out there r we talking about?" He asked as he sat down in his chair. "And whay happens if the next cipher key uncovers not 12 names, but 100?"
"We don't think there'll be that many. There's a limit" stiles told him
"Bc of the numbers" Marisa pointed down at the sheet. "We think that once we decode the names, the numbers will add up to 117" she told him.
