The moon shined over beacon hills, the night quietly surrounding them.
Stiles and Scott sat on the hood of Stiles's jeep at the lookout point, looking out at the town.
"U talk to her all summer?" Stiles asked suddenly, getting Scott's attention
"Not really. We texted a couple times, but that was it" Scott answered with a shrug
"Does she know Kira dumped u?" Stiles asked and Scott sighed
"Can we not use the word dumped?" He asked defeatedly
"Well, it is what she did" Stiles shrugged awkwardly "All because of how...Marisa was able to pull u back when we were in Mexico, and she couldn't"
"No. Marisa doesn't know Kira..." Scott paused with a sigh "Dumped me...and she also doesn't need to know why"
"What if it changes her mind about being with u?" Stiles asked him
"My goal this year is to try to get Kira back, Stiles" Scott sighed
"Yeah, but..if u and Marisa cross paths again, and the topic comes up"
"Ur still not over her..." Scott reminded him "And I wouldn't do that to u"
"Yeah, well, I happen to have come to my senses over the summer, Scott. And while you've done a...well, it was actually a terrible job at hiding ur feelings for Marisa, yet somehow I didn't see it, so my fault..," he spoke and Scott tipped his head back with a sigh "Look, man, I know u still love her" Stiles sighed, making Scott look at him. "U can't hide it from me anymore" he shrugged sadly "And..she still loves you..." he added, messing with his hands as he stared down at them
Scott took in a deep breath, the two looking out at the town again.
"So what happens if we see her and she decides she wants to be with one of us?" Scott asked him
"She didn't choose me, Scott. She dumped me" Stikes reminded him
"If" Scott stated and stiles let out a sigh.
"Then...whoever she chooses gets to be with her, and the other one has to move on, I guess" Stiles shrugged with a sigh "But no matter what happens, we can't let it...mess us up, u know? We can't go and fight over her like we're in some drama movie or something."
"I don't think we'll have that issue" Scott stated with a chuckle
"Yeah, we've been doing pretty good so far, haven't we?" Stiles chuckled and the two nodded at one another. "She's coming tonight, right?"
"Yeah. Her and Cora r on their way now. I think their plane just landed" Scott nodded
"Good. Cause when I texted her about tonight, I made sure to tell her with a lot of exclamation points, that it was mandatory. So she better be there" Stiles nodded and Scott chuckled
"Do u know where they went for the summer?" Scott asked "she didn't really give me much of an answer"
"Yeah, me neither. She just said that they were just..."
"Going" they both stated in unison
"Yeah" stiles nodded, the two chuckling when Scott's phone began to ring, Marisas name popping up on the screen "Well that's a point for u, I guess"
"Please don't start doing that" Scott pleaded
"Just answer it" Stiles told him and Scott sighed, putting the phone to his ear
"Hey, what's up?" He asked her
"Put me on speaker" Marisa told him making Scott furrow his brows
"Why?" Scott asked
