Chapter 23: Choices

Gian's POV

"You keep looking at your phone." Lea made fun of Jhoanna because she'd been staring at her phone for a while. We're in my office with my team and Jhoanna's team, who, by the way, is acting very professional about what happened to us the other day. She even greeted me and kissed me on the cheeks.

"Sorry." she sighed and turned off my phone. "Colet hasn't responded to my text message since last night. Her last text said she missed me, but she didn't respond to my texts after that." she said to Lea but I heard it.

Sa totoo lang, nasasaktan ako pero kung hindi naman siya sasaya sa akin, handa akong magpaubaya ng paulit-ulit.

I turned and faced Jho, I raised an eyebrow to her. "Anong nangyare? About ba yan kay Colet?" I asked, speaking in Filipino para kami-kami lang ang magkakaintindihan.

She nodded and sighed. "She hasn't yet responded." she replied.

When she said that, my emotions change, as if I realized something and was scared because of what I remembered. I looked at my wristwatch and widened my eyes.

"Oh my god, kailangan mong umalis. Yung flight nila is at 6 pm. You need to go there!" I exclaimed making her confused.

"What? What do you mean? I don't underst-"

"Chie's plan. Inaaya niya nang umuwi si Colet kaya kung gusto mong magkatuluyan kayo, umalis ka na at puntahan sila." I saw her panicked. Fuck! Bakit ko ba ginagawa 'to? Ang martyr ko naman.

I looked at my wristwatch again then turned my gaze at her.

"You have 30 minutes to get her. Go." I said with a sad smile plastered on my face. "Go get her, Jhoanna."

Jhoanna did not waste a minute because of she heard what I said, she immediately stood up without worrying her unfixed hair and make up. She didn't even bother to look at us because she's rushing.

Naisip ko tuloy, kung malagay siya ulit sa ganoong sitwasyon at ako ang nasa airport, hahabulin niya rin kaya ako? Pipiliin niya rin kaya ako kagaya ng pagpili niya kay Colet?
