ONE YEAR LATER

Colet's POV

It's been a year since Gian became part of our gang and it's been 4 months since Chie and I decided to keep our relationship lowkey. We're like high school lovers who needs to date secretly and sneak out so that our family won't be suspicious. This is stressing me out but we can't do anything about it.

Colet: Hey baby! I miss you. Can we meet later tonight?

Chie: Babe you know naman that my family are mad pa, right? Your parents fired me.

Colet: I understand babe. I love you.

And as expected, she just left me on read. No I love you and no I miss you. My parents found out that I am dating the CMO of the company and because they are quiet strict with the roles and regulation of this company, they fired Chie.

Later on, I saw an IG post from her that she's with a guy named Jake. I don't want to assume things so I am keeping it cool. They look sweet and all, pero gusto ko nalang isipin na pinsan niya 'yon o kaya relative. I trust my girlfriend, she was the one who saved me when I was mourning and mending my broken heart. I know she still cares and she still love me.

"So busy naman ng CEO namin." Gwen yelled when they entered my office. They're all here. Mikha, Maloi, Gwen, and Gian.

"What are you guys doing here?" I asked them with furrowed eyebrows.

"Just checking on you, Col. Baka nagbigti ka na eh." Gian laughs while raising his phone, showing Chie's instagram post. Maloi then walked closer para silipin kung ano pinagkaka abalahan ko.

"Oh, she just saw it lang. Ano, Colet, inom ba tayo?" Gian teased.

"Anong iinom? Hoy iisa nalang kidney mo baka gusto mong sumunod kay Aiah na kamukha ng sister mo?" Gwen told him. The latter continued laughing while shooking his head.

"Guys, let Colet rest nga! We're here lang to ask if you want to come with us for lunch." Mikha calmly said as she took the seat in front of me.

"Uhh, I have a lot of things to do pa eh." I reasoned out but the real thing is, mas gusto ko nalang umupo rito at umisip ng paraan kung paano kami magiging okay ni Chie.
