Bright leans his face against the car window in the back seat as the vehicle moves down the city of Bangkok. As a twenty-three-year-old man, he still has his mother figure everything out for him. He doesn't have a heart to say no to her because the woman is simply amazing.
She had to raise him up alone since he was three years old until now. Along the way, she built her own business empire too. His mother would give him anything he wants and in return, he'd do anything for her.
She has taken care of their life well until three months ago, when she was diagnosed with stage two of lung cancer. Bright instantly asked his mother to stop working, to focus on healing herself, and let him take over their business matters instead.
Now, he's heading to Handle Yourself With Care (HYWC) Building as usual every morning on a weekday. Bright sighs, his eyes are droopy due to sleepiness. Just when he's about to fall asleep, his gaze lands on a thrift store not far ahead. "Phi Aof, stop the car at that store," Bright points at the mentioned place to his driver.
"Khrab, Khun Noo," Phi Aof nods and changes the lane to stop at the store, which is located on the left side of the road. The car comes to a halt and Bright instantly gets out of the vehicle. He fixes his suit jacket and buttons it up before walking towards the entrance.
The sign outside of the store says:
Wintage Store
"What the hell is Wintage?" Bright mutters under his breath, staring at the simple yet classic sign.
Considering that it is still early in the morning, there is no customer yet inside. Bright walks through the door, instantly falling in love with its interior design. The floor is a high polished wood and dark brown, free of clutter. The walls are brick finished, the same colour as the floor, sending a vintage vibe to everyone who walks in.
Within one glance, the store definitely outlasts the others in terms of its design though it might be a new store that has just recently opened. There is a vinyl record player on a small and high table at the corner of the store. The business man reckons its age is probably around 50 to 60 years, judging by how old it looks.
The store is dimly lit with the vintage wall sconces that hang on each wall like earrings. The lighting sends a sense of classical feeling, like being in the castle where Merlin worked. A couch stands next to the table of the vinyl record player, on a hand-woven rug, accompanied by a round rattan coffee table as its sidekick. It would be such a perfect place to have a cup of coffee or two here every morning.
