This story is not mine. I did not write this, nor in any way contribute to this story. The original author is Tay Taylor and for her own personal reasons was left with the conclusion of either having to sell her stories or unpublish them completely. (I would also like to note that as of right now, she is currently looking to sell her account 2getherwithbrightwin, if you are interested, please reach out to her directly. Once she announces she has sold the account then I will take this message down, so as to not create unnecessary confusion.)

It broke my heart when she made her announcement. She is such an amazing author and her stories are so prominent within the BW and BW AU fandom. For many of us avid BW readers, her stories are iconic and I couldn't let them go. The Scar is probably the most famous of her works and is being handled by another iconic BW AU writer: Mixi_who_writes and it can be found on her account. If you have not read Mixi's stories then I highly recommend each one of them. Seriously, please read them, every one of them is amazing and you will not be disappointed.

When Tay first posted about selling her stories, I knew The Scar would be taken immediately. However, Vintage was one of those stories that resonated so deep for me that I had to try and get it if it was within my ability. Vintage dealt a lot with the lingering sentiments and fears that I went through while learning to cope with the passing of my mother, and finding this story and reading of the struggles Win went through in this story while he learned to cope with his father's passing, was extremely therapeutic for me.

It wasn't just a moment of I get it, it was a moment of someone out there gets me and I didn't feel quite so lost while reading it. Finding an emotional validation in a story like that kept the heart of that story deep within me. I have read and re-read Vintage so many times I almost know it by heart. This story is sweet and funny, it is lighthearted and warm. It does approach some heavy subjects such as mourning a parent, cancer treatment, and the long-term effects that bullying can have on people. But I love how warm the story is throughout. The bond that is created and how it grows around them and becomes a part of them. It is my favorite of hers, it was one of the first stories I read that I loved so much that I actually commented on it. (I have become a more active reader since then, not by much, but a bit better, I was completely a silent reader at the time, this was the story that broke that habit!)

And Peace, what can be said about Peace? This is one of those stories that I cannot run out of things to say. It is angst with a happy ending, but it approaches so many uncomfortable subjects and the tenure of the distorted thoughts people have in their head. It is very much a human story as it approaches the thought processes that make sense inside of our heads, but don't make sense to those around us. The amount of damage we can cause by assuming other's feelings without communication and the level of toxicity that can exist when communication is failing.

It is a very aesthetic and heartbreaking story, but each heartbreak is gifted with an even more beautiful mending. Watching them crumble and the effort they both put forth to heal themselves and each other. The amount of validation and affirmation they built their lives on after they saw how horribly they could break it. Realizing they couldn't live with each other or without each other without growing within themselves to be stronger individually and then rebuilding a stronger foundation together. There was so much pain, and even more beauty in every word of this story. It is a story that makes you love, hate, and question each character and I feel that we can all see ourselves in the characters she created and can walk away from this story understanding ourselves a little better as well. Peace is truly a masterpiece in so many ways.

I am going to keep these stories in as much in the way of how Tay had them as possible. I am leaving her author notes and original pictures in the stories as she had them. She will still be around so please don't hesitate to drop likes and comments to remind her how much we love her and her stories. When commenting please tag her back up account: 2getherwithbw so she can still feel the love! She is also selling her original account, but will still be here with the above mentioned backup account. She is still very much here with us!

Every bit of these stories were written by Tay, I am merely the placeholder for Vintage and Peace. She's the artist and my account is simply the gallery with which her work is displayed. These stories will be available on my account with full credits to her as the author. Copyright is still very much within place for both of these stories and there have been no permissions granted for them to be printed or reposted anywhere else. I do want to add an additional copyright sidenote here as well. In Peace there is a lot of poetry that is either unlabeled completely or only labeled with Bright's name. These poems are Tay's creations and they completely belong to her. Also in Vintage there is a tagline that she uses that says Handle Yourself With Care, this is also hers and completely belongs to her. None of her poetry, stories, or taglines should be published outside of these stories without her consent.

That being said, many of my readers know that I post all of my works on both Wattpad and AO3. I will not be doing that with Peace or Vintage. Both of these stories will be available on my Wattpad account only, these stories should not be visible anywhere else. With that being said, I'm in the middle of three different writing projects at the moment, along with my daily life of work and family. I won't throw the entire story up all at once, but I will release several chapters at a time over the course of the next couple weeks until all chapters are up. I will upload several today to start off getting them republished as quickly as possible!

I also want to include that I have no intention of changing or adding to the original work. They are both completed stories and I don't feel the need to add anything extra to them, they are perfect as they are. I have no need to add a personal stamp to them. So please don't expect a special chapter or addition from me.

I am sincerely thankful and humbled to be allowed to take care of these stories, to preserve them for people who have read them and want to come back to them for the much needed comfort spots they provide, and for new readers to find them and read them. Each word written is a gift and while I am truly saddened that Tay had to let them go, I am also elated that I can keep them and take care of them for her.

Lastly, but most importantly, I just want to thank Tay for everything she has done for us. Your stories are iconic for a reason, your talent is astounding, and I for one will always be grateful to you for sharing them. Your stories are a comfort for me and I find each one of them a blessing. I hope that your future endeavors are fruitful and that you always find yourself surrounded by love and friendship. If ever you find yourself lonely you can always turn back to us and we will still have open arms for you!
