Win wakes up to the sound of breathing that is not his own. The breath is fanning at the crook of his neck, making him feel hot. He listens to his own heartbeat that is beating along with the person that he's holding in his arms. They beat in sync, and it almost feels like it's producing a beautiful song with each joined thump.

The sun isn't up yet, but Win's mind is already awake. He flutters his eyes open to the darkness in his room with a faint light from the lamppost outside of the house. The light is enough for him to see Bright's face. His eyebrows are furrowed, as if he's dreaming about something terrible right now. His hand is clutching on the t-shirt that Win is wearing.

Win spreads his arm towards the bedside table and reaches out for his phone. Once he has it in his hand, he presses on the home button to see the time. It is half-past six in the morning, which is too early to wake up on a Sunday. The brightness of the screen makes Bright groan in his sleep. He shifts and turns around, detaching himself from Win.

The younger man smiles, muttering a 'sorry' under his breath for disturbing the CEO's sleep. He tries to go back to sleep, but his effort is to no avail. He ends up getting up from the bed and enters the bathroom to shower. By the time he has finished showering and dressing up, it is almost seven o'clock. Win walks out of the room to go to the kitchen.

Downstairs, his mother and Vanida are already awake, watching a comedy show on TV. "Ow, baby, you're up early today," May says after she notices her son's presence in the living room.

"I'm surprised too, ma," Win chuckles. "Good morning, mae," he greets Bright's mother and goes to sit next to his ma. He scoots closer to her and leans his head against her shoulder. May wraps her arm around him, knowing well how her son loves cuddles and hugs.

Vanida smiles at both mother and son. "Good morning, Win. What time did you and Bright come back last night?"

"Around midnight, mae. Bright and his friends were really drunk. I didn't drink though, so I helped them get back home safely," he tells.

"The trio can be tough to handle sometimes. Thank God you were there," Vanida says, hugging a pillow close to her chest.

Win hums at that. "Have you had your breakfast?"

"Yang luuk, not yet son," May shakes her head.

Win immediately gets up from the sofa. "I'll go fix something for us to eat then."

"Thank you, Win," Vanida gives a small smile at him and he just nods at her.

Win heads to the kitchen while thinking about what to cook. He ends up making stir-fried rice with chicken. He also makes a large omelet for them to share. It is his specialty. The young man places the food that he just cooked on the kitchen isle and covers them with a food cover.

Then, he goes to the kitchen cabinet where all medicines are placed and takes out some aspirin for Bright, just in case he wakes up with a massive headache later. He lays everything out on the table and walks back to the living room. "Ma, mae, the breakfast has been cooked. You can go and eat first na. Both of you need to take your meds on time, right?"
