Bright punches in the passcode to enter his house. There's a beep sound, signaling the door has been unlocked. The CEO pushes the door open, not missing the slight breeze from outside that's brushing against his exposed skin. He walks in and closes the door behind him while taking off his black shoes. The man smiles at the sight of Ame sleeping near the door. She's probably waiting for him.

"Luuk, why are you sleeping here?" He crouches down and scoops the cat in his arms, carrying her to the living room

"Luuk, why are you sleeping here?" He crouches down and scoops the cat in his arms, carrying her to the living room. Once he arrives there, he's surprised to see his mother, who is still awake. "Mae, what are you doing? It's almost midnight, khrab. Get some sleep," Bright sits on the sofa and pats Ame back to sleep.

Vanida grabs the remote and turns the TV off. She turns to her son, sighing. "I was waiting for you," she replies.

"Ow, tham mai, why?" Bright asks, a little confused. Usually she doesn't wait for him when he has to attend an event at night. It is because he would be back late, past midnight.

Vanida clears her throat and fiddles with her fingers. Bright, on the other hand notices that. His mother is fidgety, and she also looks nervous for some reason. "I have something to talk to you about."

Bright nods hesitantly. "What is it?"

"Would you like to get married to Win?" Vanida shoots the question out as fast as a bullet that propels at 900 frames per second.

Bright's hand stops rubbing on Ame's stomach and he slumps his shoulders against the sofa, completely speechless. He opens his mouth to speak, but nothing comes out. He looks like a fish, trying to survive being on the land. "Mae..." He breathes out, almost choking.

"I'm serious with that question. Would you like to-"

"Mae, I heard you the first time," Bright stops her from repeating the question. "Where is this coming from? What? How? Why?" His hand is flailing in the air, making gestures as he asks those questions to his mother.

Vanida shifts and crosses her legs on the sofa. "Why? Don't you want to marry him?" The mother replies to Bright's questions with more questions.

"I do, mae. I do want to marry him, but I want to ask him to be my boyfriend first. Then, when the time is right, we can get engaged and after that, we can get married," Bright explains in the simplest way as possible to the woman.

Vanida presses her fingers on her temple, shocked. "I thought both of you have passed the boyfriends' phase?"

"No, mae. I haven't asked Win that yet," Bright denies.

"But you two are like a married couple already. May and I really want you to get married to Win. We have high hopes for both of you," Vanida tells, eyebrows are furrowed with concern over her son's love life. All this time, they've been together without any label?

Bright chuckles at his mother because she does sound a little ridiculous. "Mae, what is this? Is this an arranged marriage or what? Did you and Mama May plan this together over the multiple sleepovers you've done for the past few months?" The CEO queries, hoping his mother can answer the questions that he has.
