"You are my vintage, Win. You're unique and you're one of a kind. You transcend the beginning of the time and beyond the end of it."–Bright.

"Let's grow old together until we're too tired to stand and then we'll just lie in bed, staring at each other's crinkly face, but still with the same warmth that we have for one another."–Win.

The reason I put 'Vintage' as the title of this story is because I want to show my readers about a love that transcends everything, a love that is the best thing that could ever happen to two individuals and a love that changes them for the better.

I also subtly hinted that a label doesn't always come first in a relationship. It's enough if we put trust in one another and communicate for any misunderstandings that appear. Truth to be told, I've never been in a relationship before, but I think I can understand love by observing. After all, love is subjective. Everyone has their own perspective of it. What is your perspective of love? Share them with me!

I finished writing this story over the course of a month. Like The Scar, I don't think I've ever dedicated myself to anything as much as this before. I updated almost every day with just a few days of break in the middle. Initially, I wanted this book to be a simple love story. However, along the way, it got a little complicated because that's just how my mind works. It can get complicated and twisted anytime it wants.

I am forever grateful for the amount of supports, encouragements and sweet messages that you've sent me. I apologise for the time when I was rude to any of you or moody or sensitive or anything at all. I'm sorry. I'm not good at handling my emotions due to a few circumstances that happened in my life before.

No words can describe how happy I am when some of you reached out to me because you loved the stories that I wrote.

With that being said, I'm bidding a temporary goodbye to all of you. I'll start my new and final semester of uni soon. Don't worry, I won't stop writing. It's just for now, I'll focus on my studies first.

I'm leaving The Scar and Vintage in your hands. Take care of them. Also, treat each other with kindness. Remember, I'm a soft author. I can't deal with harsh words and I can't see people fight with one another too, sobs. Okay. I should stop rambling.

Take care everyone and stay safe wherever you are. I love you from the bottom of my heart.

Love,

Tay ❤

Random Musings from Kandycemt: These are really just my own random thoughts so you all can ignore this if you want, just my own musings on the story.

Vintage is hands down one of my favorite stories ever written. It doesn't have the same amount of depth and gravity of some other stories, but it has a happiness in it that I think came at a time that I needed it the most. Every time I read this, it's like a favorite memory is being relived.

There were parts of it that were heavy. Win fighting desperately to cling to his father's memory to a point where he was harming his own health was so real to me when I read this. It made sense, the logic was flawed, but grief can cover logic and it took Bright coming along to uncover that logic and bring Win to a point where he could heal and let go.

And Win did that for Bright as well when it came to Pavel, and I know it was left open, but I honestly feel that Win and Bright work together to help Pavel down his own road of healing in the future. They both had issues communicating, but they were quick to recognize it and while they put strain on their relationship, they saw what they were doing and fixed it before it became detrimental.

There are so many painful undercurrents in this story that were overshadowed by the joy of the main couple and for me that set an entire mood on their relationship. It was a representation of how strong and healing their love was to completely overshadow the pain that was rooted in their lives. From Win's grief, to Bright's trauma, to both of their mother's being sick, there was still a constant warmth that was emitted instead of the heavy angst that the story had more than enough room to have if she'd wanted to.

I love it the way it is. I love there strength and their soulmate aura that is shown throughout the story. I also love the little honest moments. They had issues communicating the big things such as Win's financial troubles and Bright being bullied, but there were little honesties that were so raw and subtle such as Win opening up and telling Bright his love was not one-sided, or when Bright showed Win the natural pain in his face when Win told him he didn't want to marry him anymore. Subtle moments, but raw and honest and beautiful.

I think originally that story was supposed to just be a piece of fun and fluff, but the author ended up adding depth that made the characters relatable. The issues she put in the story weren't overly dramatic, they were very real issues that were extremely relatable and made the characters and their pain so real and understandable to me. I truly love the way she wrote this and gave me a place to feel both happy and consoled at the same time.

This story is a happy place for me. It's fun, it's mostly light, and it's very real to me. I'm so thankful to this story in so many ways!
