Shinobu Kocho's POV
Just as I expected, Mitsuri and Obanai are close, it also looks like Obanai has a soft spot for Mitsuri and only her, he didn't speak to me at all. It felt like he couldn't see me.
"So! How was your day out??" I took a bite from my ginger tsukudani, it tasted really good, and they said that it was my favourite
"I enjoyed my time with you guys! Mitsuri is fun to hang out with" I felt Igoru San glaring at me
"I won't be surprised if you act like that, I was missing your personality" She was a nice person, we were heading back to the mansion since I had to get home and look for my record.
"See you guys later! Have a lot of work to do!"
Third Person's POV
Shinobu headed straight to her mansion leaving Igoru and Mitsuri behind. Mitsuri looked at Igoru with a sad face, nearly gonna cry but she did her best to put her strong face. Igoru understood what was going on with her and pulled her close
"There was nothing we could do about it" Igoru tried to comfort Mitsuri but she just burst out crying
"We shouldn't have let her go for the mission alone!! Why didn't we go with her?! Master wanted the three of us to go together Igoru San!! Why didn't we go with her??" Mitsuri cried on Igoru's chest uncontrollably, while he could do nothing but hold her close

Shinobu reached the mansion and was welcomed by Aoi.
"Welcome back Shinobu San! The water pillar is here to meet you!" just as she completed her words, Aoi went back to doing her chores. Shinobu walked towards Tomioka and hugged him, which left Tomioka all red
"What brings you here Tomioka San?" she didn't let go of the hug, but faced him, her nose touching his face, Tomioka knew that if he too faced her, they would end up having their lips locked against each other's
"I wanted to make sure that you reached back safely, who did you go with?" Shinobu knew that he was being overprotective of her but just let him be
"Mitsuri and Igoru, the Hashiras, safe with them, am I right?" Tomioka let out a soft sign and stood up from his seat
"I'll be leaving then, Rengoku will be helping you find the record, he will be here soon"
"Yup" As soon as he heard her response, he left the mansion leaving just Shinobu and Aoi, but Aoi was busy in the kitchen. Having nothing else to do, she forced herself to her room and started looking for the record
In less than 20 minutes, Rengoku, the flame Hashira joined her, and they had an awkward silence between them.
"Kocho! Have you looked in your laboratory?" These were the first words said by Rengoku, Shinobu was surprised by his power and how energetic he was
"Do I have one?"
"Haha! Yes! You don't cut the demon's head! You use poison to kill them!" She was confused not at her unusual way of killing but from Rengoku, a part of her wanted to know if this was his only expression but she kept quiet.
Rengoku kept back the boxes he checked and went out of Shinobu's room, not knowing where he was going, Shinobu just decided to follow him.
Kyojuro Rengoku's POV
The last time I came here was when Kanae invited me for Dinner one day... And yes, that's a long time ago. I still remember Shinobu being grumpy all the time because her sister brought me for dinner. As far as I am concerned, she doesn't know anything about Kanae, does she even know that she had a loving sister?
We reached Shinobu's Laboratory, she was surprised to know that it was all her's. There were a lot of chemicals differently labeled and one caught my attention... Wisteria poison? I didn't mind it at first and started looking for the document. On the other hand, does she remember my name? It's never too late to introduce yourself!
"Kocho! Do you know who I am?" she turned around to look at me, she gave a slight chuckle and shook her head, I guess she forgot
"Well then! I am Kyojiro Rengoku! The flame Hashira! Does it ring any bells?" she still stayed quiet
"I'm sorry but no... I guess you already know me" She laughed a bit and went back to her work, it felt like she wanted to ask me something
"Rengoku San? Do you know Kanae Kocho?" She knows? How did she know?
"Why do you ask?"
"Mitsuri... Said that I have a sister" She once again went quiet... I couldn't tell her about her sister's death...
"Anyways... How are you always that energetic?"
"It's just how I am!"
"Oh, I see..."
It got me wondering... I remember Shinobu being very grumpy before Kanae's death... But why isn't she so now? Did she become so after her parent's death?
I was interrupted by my thoughts as I saw a document, maybe that's the record!
"Wisteria Poison?" I muttered she couldn't hear it... Something about this poison wasn't right... There were many bottles labelled Wisteria poison. It was a diary kind... She wrote about her 'plan' in it
"Ah! Rengoku San! I found it" Just from surfing the page, I saw 'Kanae' and 'upper 2' in it, she shouldn't see it...
"That is a good thing Kocho! When will you start training?"
"Tomorrow! Tomorrow morning! Let me ask Lady Tamayo and Tomioka San about it! Thank you by the way, for helping me look for it" She walked up to me and I quickly documented under my Haori.
"No problem Kocho! Call me whenever you need help! And remember to keep your heart burning!"
Just by saying that, But Rengoku San's words...But Rengoku San's words made my day...
I left the laboratory, and now I had to meet Tomioka...
