Hayoung screamed frantically due to the excruciating pain as she got dragged by Seungcheol. The butler ignored her scream until they arrived at the barn. He kicked the door and threw the maid onto the ground.
"I warn you already. Why do you never listen?!" Seungcheol clenched his jaws.
"Why does everyone care so much about him? He just a lowly servant!" Hayoung cried.
"And so are you."
Both of them turned around and the woman frowned as she turned pale. Seungcheol bit his lips as he stepped aside. It's been a long time since he saw his master this furious. The Duke approached Hayoung with a dagger in his hand. The maid was about to say something but in a blink of an eye, the Prince swung his dagger so fast, that the blade cut Hayoung's face as blood splashed all over the ground. The woman held her face as she cried harder.
"Know your place, peasant. I bought him myself. You were sent here by His Majesty. I don't even know you." the Duke pointed his dagger towards the woman.
"I give you a chance to leave my property now because the next time I see you... I will enjoy cutting you into pieces until you become unrecognizable."
The Prince turned around and looked at his dagger.
"One..." he started to count.
"Two..."
Hayoung quickly got up and ran out of the barn. She looked around before she threw her feet along the pathway because she knew stepping into the woods meant death to her instantly by those vicious wolves. A thousand emotions ran through her mind at the moment. But one emotion stuck out the most. Anger. None of these would have happened if that boy never come to this mansion. And now only one thing in her mind, revenge.
"I'm gonna make sure you repay this, little bastard."

Mingyu wrapped Chan's hand with a bandage after he applied medicine. The Duke brought the crying boy into his room and put him on the bed with his hands still bleeding profusely. Mingyu joined them with a box of medicine and bandages.
"Treat him. I have somewhere to go." the Duke said and stormed off.
Chan was still crying because of the excruciating pain. Mingyu brought Chan onto his lap and tried to comfort him by rocking the boy back and forth.
"I-I will do better. Please don't kill me." Chan sobbed.
"No one will do anything bad to you. You are safe here." Mingyu whispered to him gently.
From crying turned to sobbing as the boy started to get exhausted. And after a while, Chan turned weak as he fell asleep in Mingyu's arms. The Prince was fuming that veins were popping out on his forehead. It was terrifying for Mingyu to witness a calm person turn violent.
After a while, the door opened and the Duke came in. He sat beside Mingyu and gently caressed Chan's face. Mingyu held Wonwoo's hand. The Duke looked at his lover before he rested his head on Mingyu's shoulder.
"Are you okay?" Mingyu asked and Wonwoo nodded.
"How about Chan?" Wonwoo asked back.
"He cried himself to sleep. The cut looked pretty deep. It might take a few days to fully heal."
Mingyu's eyes landed on Wonwoo's sleeve and frowned as he saw a few small drops of blood.
"Is that blood? What did you do to her?" Mingyu asked.
"I might hurt her a bit and chase her out of here."
And silence filled the room. Mingyu wrapped his other arm around his lover's waist and Wonwoo closed his eyes as he scooted closer. Mingyu started to move back and forth as the two followed his movement. He looked at the two and smiled. It felt like he was rocking two babies.
