'What do you think she likes about him so much?' Jaehyun asked his best friend as they sat in the dark evening after the sun had just set.

They sat in the front yard of Leehan's home, and the moment Leehan knew that Jaehyun wanted to talk to him after all their other friends had gone, he knew it was something serious.

Leehan sighed as he toyed with the hem of his folded jeans. 'I guess it's bothering you a lot. And I understand that it must hurt. But you're way better than Taesan and there's no question on that.'

Jaehyun looked up at the sky in thought, trying to find what it was that made Taesan so special and him the guy Amy-Janett could always ignore.

'I think I understand,' his best friend said after a while. 'AJ has always been something like a rebel...of some sort. She just doesn't want to fit in, that's why she's always escaped through books and TV shows and stuff. So, it makes sense that she would like someone who's not cookie-cut like the rest of us.'

Jaehyun looked at his friend as if he had dropped words of wisdom, and he felt like they were. It made a lot of sense. When Jaehyun looked in the mirror, he felt quite confident that he was more striking than Taesan was. When he thought about his personality, he understood that he was so perfect that every girl would think of him as a Prince Charming. But none of that made him special in Amy-Janett's eyes. He was simply the epitome of what a perfect child in Green Haven was supposed to be.

'You're so right,' he face-palmed then turned to his friend. 'Why did I never think of that Leehan?'

His best friend shrugged his shoulders. 'I also just thought about it too.'

'Well...knowing the problem is the first step to finding a solution.' He looked up at the sky again. 'What can I do?'

'Maybe you can try to be different too. You know, act like some of those movie...'

'No,' he immediately rejected the idea. 'My father wouldn't be proud of me if I changed. Aside from AJ, I have a lot to represent and protect.'

'You're right.'

Jaehyun continued to think for a minute before he finally spoke. 'Wait...I can't change, but he can. If AJ sees that he's just like the rest of us, she won't be into him anymore.'

'Uh, yeah,' his friend nodded in agreement. 'But how are you gonna do that? It's obvious he's different from us and with his antisocial behavior, he can't assimilate.'

'I know he can't, unless I tell him to.'

Leehan chuckled. 'You're going to tell him to change and you think he'll listen? Why would he listen to you though?'

Jaehyun knew exactly why Taesan would listen to him, but he was not going to disclose that to his friend yet. 'He'll listen.' He simply said. 'Let's take him fishing with us tomorrow.'

'Fishing with us?' he rolled his eyes. 'If you weren't planning something and you simply invited him, I swear I would have been mad at you.'

...

'Amy-Janett!!!' the voice of AJ's furious mother rung from the bedroom corridor that evening.

'What?' AJ asked herself and turned away from the movie she was watching on her father's laptop in the bedroom. It was an intriguing thriller and her mother was ruining the moment for her.

'Amy-Janett!' she repeated. 'Get to the living room this instance!'

AJ paused her movie and sluggishly got off her seat. She slowly walked out of her bedroom and made it to the living room, where her mother had returned. She could see that her mother was fuming with anger, while her father concentrated his attention on the same newspaper he had read that morning.
