Both the mother and daughter hear the conversation of Sharda and her aunt. Sharda says that she will also come with her aunt but her aunt says that Wadiyar family is her family now and she needs to stay with the Wadiyar family from now on.

Then they enter inside and then Chandrakanta looks at her mother. She understands that she needs to greet her aunt. So she greets her. Then they have a small conversation in which Shyamala describes the bad behaviour done by Varunmala.

Sharda feels embarrassed due to her mother and then her aunt says that she shouldn't be embarrassed and you should learn it as a lesson when your parents are lacking.

'Ek kanya ki mata pita uski jeevan bhar ke liye raksha (protect) nahi kar sakte.. Tumhe dridh sankalpon (determination) ke saath apne chunaution (difficulties) ka saamna (face) karna hoga.. Bilkul ek vruksh (tree) ki tarah jo har samay aur har stithi (situation) mei balwan (strong) ho aur swaym par nirdharit (depend on itself) ho..' Her aunt said.

Chandrakanta listened carefully. Her aunt also added that for any person, their words and deeds are the best accessories. She suggests Sharda to learn from Shyamala. Chandrakanta serves some buttermilk to the aunt and the aunt asks Shyamala not to despise or hate Sharda. Shyamala says that she will treat Sharda like her own daughter while Chandrakanta sees in the other direction.

Chandrakanta was walking back to her room when she halts at the balcony glancing the moon and remembers what her mother said after they left the room.

Apne nana ji se bet (meet) nahi karogi kya..?' Shyamala asked Chandrakanta.

'Kya aap chahti hai ki mai nana ji se bet karu..? Yadi badi chachi ne dekh liya tho vo phir krodit (angry) hongi.. Yadi aap unka varthalaab (conversation) sunna chahti ho tho chaliye mai chalti hu..' Chandrakanta said.

'Mujhe uttar (reply) do.. Tumne badi chachi ki bhabhi ko chaas kyun diya..? Vaha Sharda thi na unki seva ke liye.. Tumne usse uska shrey (credit) kyun cheen liya..?' Shyamala asked.

'Mujhe badi chachi ki bhabhi ka vyaktitva (personality) pasand aaya hai aur isliye maine unhe chaas diya.. Mata aap mujhe is tarah kyun dekhti hai.. Mata aapko mai pasand nahi hu.. Mata aap mujh mei keval burai kyun dekhte ho..? ' Chandrakanta asked.

'Aapki hruday (heart) mei Sharda imaandaar aur vyavaharik (honest and practical) hai aur mai kabhi bhi dayalu (kind) nahi hu.. Jab bhi mai kuch karu tho uski gan-na (calculated) ki jaati hai..' Chandrakanta added.

'Yadi tum apna hadh (limits) par nahi karti, tho mai kadapi tumhe galat nahi samajhti..' Shyamala said.

'Yadi tum Sharda ki baati saty aur parishrami (honest and hard working) hoti tho sab tum mei achchhai hi dekhenge..' Shyamala added.

'Mai buddhiheen (fool) hu, mai Sharda ki baanti nahi ho sakti.. Paranthu mujhe Sharda se eershya (jealousy) hai, usko badi chachi ne pala posa, paranthu mujhe sikhane ke liye koi nahi tha.. Tho meri tulna (comparison) usse kaise ho sakti hai..?' Chandrakanta asked.

'Aapko krodit (angry) hone ki avasyakta (need) nahi hai mata.. Mere paas ek upay (idea) hai.. Aapki swasth (health) ke liye keh rahi hu, ab se aapko mujhpe nazar rakhne ki avasyakta nahi hai.. Jaake meri uttam (great) chacheri behen ko dekh lijiye, aapko krodh nahi aayega..' Chandrakanta said.

'Uchit hai.. Maine ziddi se ziddi sainik ko bhi sikhaya hai.. Tum tho keval ek natkhat (naughty) kanya ho.. Bhavishya mei mai tumhe dheere se hi sahi paranthu apne tarikon se sikhaungi..' Shyamala said.

Chandrakanta came back to the present and told herself...

'Chandrakanta, tumse pakshpaat (partiality) karne walon ko santusht (satisfy) karne ki bajay, kyun na tum thoda udaseen (sad) ho jau..? Tumhe nirbhar (depend) karne ke liye koi rishtedar nahi hai aur na hi koi mitr jisse tum apna musibatein baant sako.. Tumse prem karne walon se zyada tumse dwesh (hate) karne wale hai.. Chachi ke jaane ke paschat (after) koi aur hoga.. Tho swayam ka vyavhar (behaviour) behtar karke dusron se kam ashayein kyun na rakhe..?' Chandrakanta questioned herself.

The next morning, Varunmala's father left with his daughter and daughter-in-law asking Pralayankar to study in a mountain for sometime. Pralayankar obeys his order and leaves from there asking his brother and sister-in-law to take care of Sharda.

'Aap chinta mat kijiye.. Mai Sharda ka dhyaan rakhungi apne santan (child) ki baati (like)..' Shyamala said.

Sharda was standing near Shyamala and Pralayankar leaves in a carriage. Sharda cries lying on Shyamala while Chandrakanta was standing at a distance.

Shyamala then took Sharda along with her side hugging her leaving Chandrakanta there.

Virendra Singh was standing at the highest place in the capital (outside the royal palace) when his subordinates came.

'Shrimant, humne pura dukaan ki talashi li hai paranthu hume kuch nahi mila.. Pratit hota hai ki Kaalberu ne saare hatyar ko nasht kar diya hai jab use yeh gyaat hua ki Achyuta ko humne khaid kar liya..' Nakush said.

'Humne unhe keval kuch dinon ke liye hi khaid kiya hai.. Virendra singh said.

'Vo rath (carriage) kuch parichat (known) sa pratit hota hai..' Das said.

'Vo Wadiyar pariwar ka rath hai..' Nakush said while Virendra singh looked at the carriage being focused.

'Shrimant, aap kya dekh rahe hai..?' Das asked.

'Barf gir raha hai aur seegr hi naya varsh aane wala hai.. Mai vichar kar raha hu ki hamare sainikon ke liye hum kuch fal (fruits) de de.. Prathm (First) baar hum sabka naya varsh rajdhaani (capital) mei manane ka avsar mila hai.. ' Virendra singh.

'Sainikon ko fal de..? Shrimant kab se naya varsh manane lage..? Mujhe tho laga ki vo yeh sab nahi karte..' Das said. Nakush glared Das while he kept quite.

Nakush then informed Virendra singh that it's been several days since he came back but still he didn't visit his father Marich and rumors have been spreading in the court and Marich implored the king to make you visit him on the New year's day while Virendra replied that he wasn't interested.

Chandrakanta was sleepy as it was early in the morning and her family is starting a ritual (gruhpravesh). She never woke up this early, so she was so sleepy and suddenly her grandmother rang a bell loudly waking her up.

Later, they enter inside and Chandrakanta goes to her room. But before entering inside, she sees a cupboard with racks kept aside. Siyali said that she will throw them but Chandrakanta said not to and she started doing carpentry.

Her mother complained about her faults while her father complimented that Chandrakanta is smart like her mother and upright like her father. They heard the sounds coming and Shyamala went to check Chandrakanta. Shyamala saw how her daughter did good work, so she smiled but then made a straight face and left. Siyali tells Chandrakanta that her mother was impressed by her work.
