Chandrakanta and her brothers go to the main hall. They learn whatever happened. The brothers explain what happened and then the maids tell what happened exactly and why they started fighting. Shyamala accuses Siyali that she purposely showed off the desk to Sharda's maids but Siyali says that she was being framed.
Sharda apologizes to her cousins but Shyamala stood up for her and says that she has nothing to do with it as she was busy from the morning. Jai Aditya stands up for Chandrakanta and questions his mother that what has Chandrakanta has to do with this as she was also busy studying from the morning along with her brothers.
Shyamala tries to divert the topic by telling that its the maids fault. Sharda again apologizes that she didn't teach her maids properly but then Shyamala says that she was busy this morning so it's common that she overlooked such matters.
Chandrakanta smirks and her mother asks what's so funny ? Chandrakanta replies that she was laughing at the incident that took place as it is ridiculous. Then she asks Siyali what she did wrong and she replies that she acted according to her will. Chandrakanta then replies savagely.
'Yadi mai tumse kahu ki tum ek matka (pot) le aao tho yeh tum par nirbhar (depend) karta hai ki tum vo matka kis dukaan se, kis gali se le aati ho.. Paranthu tum mere sthaan (place) par reh kar yeh nirnay (decision) nahi le sakti ki vo matka mai rakhu ya nahi..' Chandrakanta said and asked Siyali to go and freshen up herself.
Chandrkanta then calls Sharda's maids and asks her what she told the other maids and how she stopped Siyali from taking the desk. Chandrakanta asks whether she told them, "Stop them, that desk belongs to our elder lady but not the young lady ?"
You can pretend to faint but not the others and we can ask others whether you said deceiving them or they also helped you. Are you people trying to sow discord among the family ? Shyamala becomes angry and asks Chandrakanta to stop pushing the matter and says that Sharda can punish her maids.
Maids fault shouldn't affect the young ladies and this is just a small matter, so just leave the matter here. You are sisters so don't hold grudges against each other and be dearly with one another. Then Sharda's head maid thanks Shyamala for standing up for Sharda.
'Kumari Chandrakanta ke saath unke teeno brata khade hai saath dene paranthu kumari Sharda ke liye koi khada nahi hai.. Hume bhay hai ki kumari Sharda ko koi tang na kare.. Isliye hum prayatn (try) karte hai ki kumari ko vo sab prapt (milna) ho jo kumari Chandrakanta ko prapt hote hai..' The head maid said.
Sulakshana then asks them who bullied Sharda and what they were trying to imply as Wadiyar family was friendly from decades and now they are trying to sow discord among the Wadiyar family. Shyamala asks them to stop and ends the matter there.
'Mujhe tho laga ki mata unhe dhand dengi par kise gyaat tha ki mata yeh nirnay lengi..? Yadi aisa hai tho mai keval swayam par hi nirbhar kar sakti hu..' Chandrakanta thought.
'Mata, kya aapko lagta hai ki yeh devi uchit kar rahi hai..? Yadi aapko lagta hai ki yeh uchit hai tho yeh devi hum par aarop laga rahi hai ki hum Sharda ko tang kar rahe hai.. Mata, vichar kijiye.. Yadi yeh devi anuchit kar rahi hai tho aapko unhe dhand dena hoga..' Chandrakanta said.
'Tumhara itna dusahas (dare) ki tum mere virudh (against) jaogi..?' Shyamala said but then Jai Aditya and Aditya stood up for Chandrakanta and said their mother that she is accusing Chandrakanta for a great sin.
'Mata, aap us devi ko sunne ke paschat (after) bhi dhand nahi de rahi hai paranthu Chandrakanta par aap itna kator vyavhar kyun kar rahi ho..?' Aditya asked.
'Yadi aaj maine apna baat spasht (clear) nahi kiya tho mujhe jeevan bhar tang kiya jaayega.. Mujhe apna sampurn jeevan (whole life) kayar (coward) ki tarah rehna hoga..' Chandrakanta thought.
Chandrakanta then tells the truth that no one has the nerve to bully Sharda in the Wadiyar house until Shyamala is there. Shyamala asks Chandrakanta that she is blaming her mother now. So Shyamala calls her guards when Aditya asks her to calm down and says that it's his fault as he didn't think much and that's why this happened.
Shyamala then yells on Aditya for not giving two desks to his two sisters. Chandrakanta then stands up for her brother.
'Isme brata ka koi dosh nahi hai.. Brata ne kuch anuchit nahi kiya.. Mata, unhone mujhe padne ke liye patal (desk) kyun uphar (gift) mei diya aapko gyaat hai..? Kyunki mera patal ghor (gross) hai.. Vo ek chote balak ke liye hai.. Unhe mujhpar daya hui aur isliye unhone unka priy patal mujhe uphaar mei diya..' Chandrakanta said and asked what has Aditya done wrong.
'Mata, Sharda ke paas ek achchha patal hai.. Mere paas jo patal hai vo chote balak ke liye hai.. Maine aaj tak jitne bhi shabdh sikhe hai vo ungliyon se gin kar sikhe hai.. Sharda ko jo sikhna hai vo seekh rahi hai, jo use sikhna chahiye aap use sikha rahi hai, paranthu mera kya..? Uchit hai.. Mata mai aapse ek prasn (question) karti hu..' Chandrakanta said.
'Aapke pas keval ek fal hai aur aapke samaksh (saamne) do log hai.. Ek vyakti bhuka hai aur ek bhar pet hai.. Aap vo fal kisko dengi..? Kya aap bhuke vyakti se kahengi ki thoda sehen kar lo, jab mere pas do fal honge tho mai tumhe ek fal de dungi.. Yeh uchit pratit hota hai paranthu kya yeh uchit hai..?' Chandrakanta asked.
'Ya aap keval nyay ka parda laga kar pakshpat kar rahi ho..?' Chandrakanta questioned her mother. Jai Aditya stood up and asks his mother to punish him if she will punish his sister. Sharda and Aditya also stood up for Chandrakanta. Sulakshana took Shyamala out and then she later came alone.
'Tara, yadi tumhe kisi bhi vastu ki avasyakta ho tho mujhe batana.. Mai pura pratyn karungi tumhe vo vastu dene ki..' Sulakshana said.
'Yadi aisa hai tho choti chachi mujhe na kandil ki tyohar (lantern festival) mei jaana hai..' Chandrakanta said and her aunt agreed. She feels happy and asks Sharda to come along.
The whole family then goes to the lantern festival. It was the first time for Sharda and Chandrakanta to celebrate the lantern festival in the capital. Shyamala then asks Sharda whether it was her first time celebrating the festival in the capital. She says yes and then Shyamala holds her hands and shows her around.
Jai Aditya, Aditya and her 3rd aunt noticed Chandrakanta was upset because it's her first time too but her mother didn't cared about her. So Aditya and Jai Aditya took her along to show her the lanterns. Chandrakanta was happy and she was smiling seeing the fire works.
Virendra singh was standing on the highest place outside the royal palace and his subordinates came and informed that everything was ready and they will catch the person whoever comes with the lantern that pairs with Kaalberu.
'Kya vo karnal Wadiyar nahi hai..? Vo apne pure pariwaar ke saath kandil ka tyohar (lantern festival) dekhne aaye hai..?' Das said.
'Wadiyar pariwar ki choti kumari ka poshak (dress) bahut akarshiniy (attractive) hai..' Das commented.
'Tumhe kaise gyaat hai ki vo choti kumari hai..?' Nakush asked Das.
