3rd POV

Y/n quickly drew her catalyst(btw i made it so that her hourglass thing is her catalyst) as she faced the stranger. He seemed to be a part of the fatui, if not a harbinger.

She faced the strange person. He looked to be a bit older than your typical teenager, with a weird-looking bowl cut, an unnecessarily large samurai hat and traditional Japanese clothing. He looked familiar, although y/n couldn't quite remember where she had seen those eyes before...

"Who are you?what are you doing here?"

The mysterious person looked taken aback before composing himself."you really don't remember me, mother?"
(YES WE ADOPTED HIM BEFORE EI DECIDED TO THROW HIM OUT)

Y/n's eyes widened as she froze in place.

"Kunikuzushi..."

"Kunikuzushi~.... Where are you?"

The night sky outside rumbled with lightning as Y/n menacingly walked around the little house she had constructed for her and Kunikuzushi after she adopted him from ei. She was trying to find him, since he stole one of her books.y/n heard a shuffling sound behind her, and whirled around to blast a bunch of stuff with her electro energy.

A little boy emerged from the pile of books."ummmm..hi mother!"

"Kunikuzushi, give me back my book." Y/n flicked the Kunikuzushi's forehead as he handed it back to her, sighing in defeat.
"Now, why did you take my storybook?"

Kunikuzushi looked away in embarrassment."......."
"What did you say?" Kunikuzushi looked back at her."i-i couldn't sleep and you weren't home..." y/n sighed as she stroked her fingers through his hair.
"Fine, you get away with it this time. Now go back to sleep."

Kunikuzushi sat down on the mattress as y/n got down next to him, humming a folk lullaby while brushing his long indigo hair.

"What am i ever going to do with you?"

Y/n POV

No, it couldn't be him. Kunikuzushi was gone, he was dead. Or could he really be alive?

"I thought you died..."

Kunikuzushi looked at me coldly before smirking."well, i guess tevyat didn't want to screw me over like you and Ei did."

"I never screwed you over, i just left to Mondstadt! You don't understand anything, Kunikuzushi. I HAD to leave... i never wanted to leave you behind either, i just couldn't bring you along to Mondstadt too..."

"You still left me even though you could have brought me with you. And, my name is Scaramouche now."
Kunikuzushi looked at me and for a second, i could see a glint of anger in his eyes. Had i really been that stupid to leave him behind and run off to Mondstadt? Even if i did, there was nothing to be done now.

"Well then, SCARAMOUCHE, even if i left you behind there's nothing to do about it now except for be upset and linger over the past"i snapped back at him."Also, your new bowl cut hairstyle looks absolutely hideous(no offense)."

It was true, his new hairstyle annoyed me greatly. All that time i spent brushing his beautiful, long hair... turned into some kind of upturned bowl.

next to me, lumine collapsed as dark energy and anger flowed around her.

"THATS RIGHT,EMBRACE THE ANGER!EMBRACE IT!"

I turned back to lumine, panicking for her life as she fell to the ground in pain. Sure she was an annoying upbeat, but i still had a promise to carry out to help her find ei. I wasn't one for breaking promises.

....

I turned around to face Scaramouche.

"KUNI-cough cough-SCARAMOUCHE! Let her go right now, and i have a deal for you."

Scaramouche raised an eyebrow in interest."and what would that be?"

I steadied myself and took a deep breath."the electro gnosis."

"Y/n, i give you this hourglass as a promise to our eternal companionship."ei placed the beautiful hourglass in my hand and it glowed softly."what exactly makes it a promise?"

Ei smiled at me as she placed her hand on top of it. Immediately, something floated out of its core...the electro gnosis."ei... are you sure?"i was surprised as i held the gnosis in my hand.

"Yae y/n, i swear on my gnosis i will never leave your side."

....

Since she wasn't by my side anymore, i was not bound to keep it safe.

K- Scaramouche hesitated for a second."but... Ei gave it to you. You told me yourself..."

I looked at Scaramouche coldly as he flinched slightly under my withering gaze, holding out his hand for the gnosis.

"Just take it and leave Lumine alone."

"WHAT?!?!"

I sighed in annoyance as lumine gawked at me, after she found out I'd given Scaramouche the electro gnosis.
"Don't act so surprised traveler, if i didn't give him the gnosis you would have died."

Just as i said that, one of the resistance members rushed over to us." Traveler! Ms y/n! The resistance is facing the vision hunt decree, and we need you on the battlefield now!"

And with that, we ran off.

So ummm, I haven't even gotten past the raiden shogun training so like..... WTF HAPPENS AFTER THE EI BOSS FIGHT OR I WONT BE ABLE TO WRITE MORE CHAPS AFTER THAT-

Yeah theres gonna be major plot changes but this still runs off the inazuma quest ;-;

And did you notice how Scaramouche refrains from actually addressing y/n, and only calls her "mother"? Yeah he saying that to spite y/n because lore and drama <3
