Chapter 19: Hypocrite

I looked at my full-length mirror as I wore a black strapless lace bralette and overlaid it with a black sheer tie-up bolero. I paired them with a black mini skirt and some stilettos, then I did my make-up and added more volume to my hair.

I also made sure to conceal all the slowly fading love bites from Spade. Mahirap na at baka may makapansin na naman. When I was sure I looked okay, nagpaalam na ako kela Mom at nagpahatid kay Manong Lito sa Vue Bar.

Tonight's our much anticipated victory party and I was already a little bit late. Plano kong magpakita lang saglit tapos umuwi rin kaagad. With various rumors currently or starting to go around, I honestly didn't even want to go anymore. Besides, tinatamad akong makipagsocialize sa mga tao.

Unfortunately, as an official member of the team, common courtesy indicated I had to at least show up.

I fished my phone from my purse and informed Spade that I'd be out partying tonight.

I smiled to myself. He has really behaved himself lately. Aside from our last misunderstanding about quitting Ice Age, hindi pa ulit kami nag-aaway tungkol sa babae. Even Heart Freo rarely posted anything with Spade anymore. I couldn't help feeling a little guilty, but I shook it off.

I looked around for Spencer but I couldn't see her anywhere. Sa labas naman ang sabi niya 'di ba? Someone suddenly tapped me from behind. I smiled before turning around.

Natigilan ako nang hindi si Spencer ang nakita ko. In front of me was Reider wearing a faded black shirt with cream Carhartt double knee pants, a pair of white Maison Margiela gats, and his caring eyes that were slowly, unlawfully becoming my favorite.

My heart automatically raced faster. "What are you doing here?" I asked, almost inaudibly. Shouldn't you be inside with Aeiana?

He looked at me with confused eyes. "Sabi mo sunduin kita?"

Huh? I wasted no time and checked my phone. Shit. Schreider ang naclick ko at hindi Spencer! So stupid! Nakakahiya ka talaga, Jillia!

I gave him an ashamed smile. "Sorry, wrong send pala. Kay Spencer dapat 'yon. Mauna ka na."

"What for? I'm already here," aniya at tinignan ang gamit ko. "Give me your bag. Ito lang ba ang dala mo?"

Hindi ko ito binigay sa kanya. "It's just a purse, Reider. Kaya ko na 'to."
