Reunion- Chapter 16

Eventually the trio got out of the shed, Hopper sitting down on the dinning table and taking out a piece of paper with a pen. Everyone then, crowded around him, worried.

"What happened?" Dustin spoke up. 

"I think he's talking, just not with words." He wrote down dashes and dots. 

 "What is that." Steve said confused.

"Morse Code." Skyler said to her brother.

Hopper decoded the code, and it spelled out H-E-R-E. At this it made everyone sigh with relief, Jonathan and Joyce looked at each other with hope in their eyes. 

"Will's still in there, he's talking to us." 

Jonathan rushed to his room, talking the radio and getting Will's favorite song. Taking it with him to the shed. Hopper, Mike, and Joyce following behind Jonathan. Meanwhile the rest of the group stayed behind, decoding the code Hopper sent them through the walkie talkie. 

One by one they got each letter, everyone full on adrenaline.

"Close gate." Nancy said. 

Then, as if the world as against them. The phone rang- making everyone jump. 

"Shit- Shit -Shit!" Dustin ran to the phone, quickly hanging up.

However, this did not help as the phone began to rang once more. Making Nancy grab the phone entirely ripping it out of the wall, and throwing it to the floor.

"Do you think he heard that?" Max said worriedly. 

"It's just a phone, it could be anywhere, right?" Steve added.

"No- he definitely knows his own phone ringtone." Sky sighed. "We are so fucked." 

Everyone froze as they all heard the Demo-dogs out in the distance. They all walked up to the front of the house, fearing for what they might see. Hopper walked in, and grabbed an extra gun for protection, seeing all the kids peeking through the windows. 

"Hey! Hey, get away from the windows!" He said making them move. Then sighing quickly looking out the window then to Jonathan. "Hey, do you know how to use this." He picked us the shot gun.

"What?" 

"Can you use this!"

"I can." Nancy spoke up, making hopper give her the gun. 

Then, everybody started to get ready, the older ones in the front protecting kids. Hopper had his gun, so did Nancy. Steve raised up the bat, and Jonathan stayed on guard standing infront of his mother. Skyler had her fists up, flames lightly sparking around them. 

They heard the growls getting closer, and closer. 

"Where are they?" Max asked franticly. 

The noises got closer. 

Then a sudden loud bang was heard to the right of the house, making everyone turn.

"What are they doing?" Nancy said raising up her gun even further. 

It was obvious the monsters were right on the house, seconds from barging in. Then another loud bang, however, this time the Demo-dogs sounded like they were in pain. Making everyone confused, except for Skyler. She put her hands down, relived that Eleven had come to save them. 

The beast was then thrown inside the house, breaking the window. The group jumped and moved away from it, Max screaming and holding Skyler tight. Hopper widened his eyes, extremely confused of what just happened. 

"Holy shit." Dustin uttered out.

"Holy shit indeed." Skyler added.

Hopper slowly and carefully walked towards the monster, his gun still pointing straight at it.

"Is it dead?" Max said, scared. 

Hopper gently kicked it, seeing the monster had no reaction. He sighed relived, and slowly began to put his gun down. Then, the door loudly creaked. This made everyone turn their attention to that. Little by little, the door started to open, making Skyler begin to grin. 

As soon as the door opened, everyone finally let their guard down, realizing who it was. 

There she was. Eleven decked out with her punk outfit, slicked back hair, slightly tearing eyes, and a nose with blood.

El and Mike ran towards eachother.

"Eleven." Mike said tightly hugging El.

"Mike."

"Is that..." Max looked over to Skyler.

"El..." She said her smile growing wider. "yeah.."

"I never gave up on you." Mike said finally letting go of the hug. "I called you every night, every night for--" 

"353 days....I heard." 

Mike's smile fell. "Why...why didn't you tell me you were there? That you were okay." 

Just as El was about to respond, Hopper spoke up. "Because I wouldn't let her." He walked towards Eleven. "What the hell is this? Where have you been?" 

"Where have you been?" El shot back. 

"You've been hiding her." Mike said, putting together the pieces. "You've been hiding her this whole time!" He began to push Hopper. 

"Hey!" Hopper grabbed Mikes collar. "Let's talk. Alone." He dragged Mike off into one of the rooms, leaving El with the rest of the group. 

Skyler ran up to El, bringing her into a tight embrace.

"You have no idea how much I missed you, El."

"I missed you too."

They smiled at eachother slowly letting go of the hug, Skyler walking back towards Max. Both Dustin and Lucas ran up to El, hugging her as well.

"So I'm guessing you guys were close?" Max told Skyler with a little bit of jealousy in her voice.

"Yeah! She's honestly like my little sister. Like family." Sky softly smiled at El. Max relieved, even though she didn't quite know why. 

"That's cool..." She trailed off as she walked over to El, Lucas and Dustin letting go. "Hey...um, I'm Max. I've heard a lot about you." She reached out her hand, waiting for El to shake it. However, El just looked at Max and then at Skyler with a 'what do I do?' face. Skyler smiled and nodded, which made El slightly nod and finally awkwardly shake Max's hand. 

"Nice to meet you." El said in a monotone voice, making Max a little sad that she did not share the same enthusiasm as she did.  

El then walked over to Joyce and tightly hugged her. Max went to Skyler, a frown on her face. 

"Cheer up." Skyler lightly patted Max's shoulder. "She takes a while to get used to people, it's nothing personal." 

Max looked up at Sky and sighed. "I guess." 

"You guys will become best friends in no time, promise." 

Max lightly smiled. "Okay, if you say so." She shrugged.
