It was the next day, and the two girls decided to enjoy the nice day outside, and what better way to do so, than to skateboard. Even though Sky did not have the time to skateboard lately, she already had plenty of experience from literally skating everywhere, back when she lived that 'past life'. Skyler rolled down the front of Max's house, doing flips and ollies, Max closely behind her trying to imitate her girlfriend.

"Hey! No fair." Max said, clearly struggling. "How come you're so much better at this than me?"

Skyler chuckled, doing another flip. "I dunno." She shrugged, trying to hide the feeling of guilt creeping up on her. She couldn't stop thinking about Max, more specifically, what would happen to Max if she didn't save her. "Lots of practice I guess."

"When did you have the time to practice this much- I mean, you're basically a pro now."

"Oh, you flatter me, Maxine." Sky says, slightly smiling, knowing she had an unfair advantage. However, a tiny pebble decided to ruin her moment, and she ended up slipping, causing the entire board to fly out front of her. "shit--!"

But before the board could fly out any further, it was stopped by the foot of a person, which so happened to be the one girl Max thought she would never see at her house. Eleven. Sure, the two girls weren't on bad terms or anything, but they just hadn't had the time to properly bond, making it awkward whenever they were together.

"El?" Skyler said, confused the girl had shown up, here of all places.

However, Max was even more shocked, as she ended up slipping off her skateboard as well, falling right on her butt. How she managed to fall on a still board was unknown to Skyler, nevertheless, it caught her attention, quickly running up to the redhead.

"Shit- Max, are you okay?" The girl said, helping her girlfriend up.

Max quickly nodded, dusting herself off, her face flushed red from embarrassment. "Yeah- yeah, I'm fine."

Eleven walked towards the two girls, skateboard in hand, and awkwardly spoke up, handing over the board. "Hi."

"Hi Els." Sky smiled, happily taking her skateboard back.

"Hi." Max softly spoke, still sort of embarrassed from falling.

"Can we talk?"

"And then he said he-- he missed me." El finished telling the girls the story, now in Max's bedroom. "And then he just hung up."

Both the readhead and her girlfriend listened intently to their friend's story, taking in every detail, and thinking about what to say next. Max was pacing in her room, her eyebrows furrowed. While Skyler was sitting next to El, Rubik's cube in hand, close to solving it.

"He's a piece of shit." Max spoke up, making Sky nod in agreement.

"What?"

"Mike doesn't have jack shit to do today, and his Nana obviously isn't sick. I guarantee you, him and Lucas are playing Atari right now."

"Yeah, El, she's right." Sky sighed, making the short haired girl look at her, Sky not taking her eyes off of the cube. "I don't know why he said all that, but he's lying."

"But friends don't lie." Eleven said, hurt in her voice.

"Yeah, well, boyfriends lie. All. The. Time." Max sat down on the other side of El. "Your going to stop calling him. Your going to ignore his calls. As far as your concerned, he doesn't exist."
