"Wait a sec. How big?" Steve asked Dustin.
"First it was like that. Now he's like this." Dustin put his arms apart from eachother, showing the distance.
"I swear to God, man, it's just some little lizard, okay?"
"It's not a lizard." Skyler spoke up, from the back seat.
"How do you guys know?"
"How do we know if it's not?"
"How do you know it's not just a lizard?" Steve continued.
"Because his face opened up and he ate my cat!" Dustin spat out.
"Jesus Dustin!" Sky, huffed out. "Didn't we tell you to be careful with that thing."
"His name is Dart!"
"Well, Dart just ate an innocent cat! And who knows what else or who else!" She added.
"You don't think that...." Dustin widened his eyes.
"I was right! He's a freaking baby Demogorgon, dammit Henderson."
"Shit...." Both Steve and Dustin said, as they looked off into the distance, as Dustin's house came into view.
Once they were there, the trio then got off the car and headed to the trunk. Steve opened the back of the car and took out his bat along with a flashlight.
They walked over to the side of Dustin's house. It was silent.
"I don't hear shit." Steve said worriedly poking at the doors with his bat.
"He's in there."
Steve then began to loudly bang the door. Hoping to get a reaction of some sort.
"Steve- I don't think you should-"
He cut Sky off pointing his flashlight at Dustin, blinding him. "All right, listen kid I swear if this is some sort of Halloween prank- your dead."
Skyler rolled her eyes.
"It's not a prank." Dustin put his hand up trying to block the flashlight. "Get it out of my face."
Steve sighed putting down the light. "You got a key for this thing?"
The curly haired boy then took out the key from his pocket and handed it over to Skylers brother. Steve opened the door and they all looked in seeing nothing.
"He must be further down there. Skyler and I will stay up here in case he tries to escape."
"What are we gonna do if it does?" Sky said sarcastically.
"He's not an it!"
"Whatever man." Sky put her hands up in defense.
Steve sighed finally getting the courage to go down into the basement. He slowly walked down the stairs until the kids couldn't see him anymore.
Sky sighed. "You know the party is gonna freak when they figure out had Dart all this time. Who knows what they'll do to yo--"
"Not now Sky, we're keeping watch remember."
He's clearly trying to change the subject.
Skyler looked down into the abyss trying to see if she could see her brother.
"Steve's taking too long....Steve! What's going on down there!" Dustin said, his voice filled with worry.
Suddenly Steve's flashlight was blinding both the kids, scaring Dustin.
