Taylor had known Ricky since they were babies, obviously she doesn't remember all that, hell she can only remember him from when they were around the age of eight.

However, she knows that from the young age they already were inseperable. When she looks back at the pictures from them being babies laying next to each other in their cribs to kindergarten where in every photo there was a hint of the other.

The photo's of them playing together, smiling brightly at the camera holding up their drawings so the teacher could show the picture to their moms later on.

Or photo's where they just had to be alone, they never looked in the camera, or even close to it. They looked to the side where the other was standing, waiting till they could play again.

She remembers her mom telling her that they never bothered making any other friends.

That was till one day Taylor got sick, and there was a new boy in class, Rednovich, he preffered going by Red though, just how Richard preffered to be called by the nickname his best friend made uo for him, Ricky.

Ricky and Red instantly got along, to a surprise to pretty much everyone seeing Ricky didn't bother to befriend anyone since he had Taylor.

Along with Red came Ashlyn, and they became a group of four. Two boys, two girls. It was perfect.

However Ricky still hung out more with Taylor, he still preffered his first and best friend over anyone else.

Her mom once told her he apperantly had a tantrum because she went to okay with Ashlyn instead of Ricky.

"But mommy! Lory is my best friend! I want to play with her!" Something along those lines was said.

Ricky called her Lory seeing he had trouble pronouncing the 'A' so he couldn't even say Tay like he does now.

Sometimes he would still call her that, and only he would. He mostly would call her that when they are alone, so no one could steal his special nickname for her.

Her mom joked that he didn't like to share her with others at such a young age already.

And while they would laugh about it, Ricky knows it is the truth. He might not remember much of that time, but he wouldn't doubt that small him wouldn't like to share his best friend.

17 year old Ricky doesn't like to share her, hadn't for aslong as he can remember.

He loves the girl, in a platonic way, obviously. And seeing he practically knows her his entire life, he grew to be protective over her.

Still is, and he doubts that that will ever change. Even if he has a girlfriend now, he can't help but glare at the guy she is talking to.

Cause who the fuck is that blonde dude? He never saw her with anyone else then their friends.

They both have a hard time making nrw friends and letting them in easily, hell the only reason they befriende Gina like 4 years ago is because Ashlyn had claimed her as another best friend and brought her everywhere.

They grew to love her ofcourse, but it still was hard for them.

So why does she look so comfortable talking to him? Whoever him is.

"Babe?" The girl who's arm is interwined with his asks.

"Yeah?" He asks, not once taking his eyes of his blonde best friend.

Which causes Nini to frown, honestly she thought he and her were a thing for a long time, everyone did.

But then he asked her out, and she was shocked to learn they never were a thing, and so she was happy to say yes. But now that her boyfriend is having all his attention on another girl, she doesn't like that.

"Why, uh- why are you starring at them?"

He snaps out of it, turning his head ro meet his girlfriend her eyes and gives her a smile. "Sorry, It's just she is my best friend so I really want to introduce my two most important people in my life to each other."

That's not why he was starring, far feom why he was starring but she doesn't need to know that.

"Oh." She sighs. "Is that her boyfriend?" She asks, aimed at the guy.

A weird feeling is floating around in his chest, one he had felt before and he pushes it away, acting lime her words didn't just brought those feelings up.

"No." He shakes his head. "I don't know who that is, but she would tell me if she was seeing anyone."

Nini shrugs her shoulders . "I don't know. She looks happy with him."

"She would tell me if she likes someone." He repeats. "They are not dating."

Speaking of them, he watches as she finally says goodbye to him and makes her way over there.

Ricky instantly feels relieved as she finally is away from this unknown guy. Finally. He thinks to himself.

"Hey." Tay smiles as she joins the group. She hadn't noticed Nini at first, but when she does and notices the arm wrapped around Ricky's her smile fell.

"Hey Tay." Ricky smiles, and the girl quickly puts up a smile again. "This is Nini. Neens, this is Taylor."

Nini genuinly smiles at the girl, her doubts from earlier long forgotten. "Hi, it's so nice to meet you."

"Hi, yeah it is." She straight up lies. Fucking hell, she is even prettier in person, and she looks genuinly kind.

And she hates that.

But there is nothing she can do, surely she will see this Nini more often now that Ricky is dating her.

And that makes her feel all bad again, cause she doesn't need that.

Taylor reminds her self why she is doing this. He is happy. Aslong as he is happy.

For Ricky.

She is doing it for Ricky.
