"Are you ready to go, Oliver?" The son of the famous final girl, Sidney Prescott, and the detective, Mark Kincaid, asked his dorm mate.

"Yeah, I'm ready," Oliver answered as he put on his jacket. "So, who's Sam and Tara's new roommate?"

"Quinn Bailey," Elijah remembered. "Her father is a cop, I think. That's all I know about her."

"Got it," Oliver nodded with understanding. "Will Lucy be there?" He asked hopefully.

"Yeah, why?" There was amusement in Elijah's voice. He knew that ever since Oliver and Lucy first met, he had a crush on her.

"Uh, no reason..." He shook his head.

"Dude, I know you like her, okay? According to the girls, it does sound like she likes you, too. She's just waiting for you to make the move."

"So, it's okay if I date your ex-girlfriend?" Oliver asked, just to be clear. It would be breaking the bro code if he didn't ask.

"Yeah, we're already over it," Elijah assured. "All of us went through a lot last year and she was the one who broke up with me."

"Why?"

"It's...complicated."

Elijah was a part of the Woodsboro Ghostface murders that happened last year. The killers turned out to be Amber Freeman and Richie Kirsch. He still remembered how heartbroken and angered Amber's younger sister, Gabrielle, was. She couldn't believe that one of the Ghostfaces was her own sister.

Lucy had a difficult time how to cope because her older brother, Vincent, got killed by Amber at the bar in the nighttime. She felt responsible for her brother's death because she left when she could've stayed to help him. Elijah tried to do everything he could to comfort her, but after everything that went down, Lucy broke up with him. Maybe it was for the best because the both of them needed a break. Being together just made Lucy remember of the past.

And it's not like Vince and Elijah had the best relationship. They weren't even friends, but they tried to tolerate each other for Lucy's sake. It's because of Vince's on and off relationship with Elijah's ex-girlfriend, Liv. She dumped him for Chad, but still had eyes for Vince.

They left for the Carpenter's apartment together. It was within walking distance, so it wasn't too far. The girls got the apartment that was closer to college for Tara and Quinn.

The two boys entered the apartment building and went up the stairs to the girls' floor. Elijah was the one who knocked on the door and waited for a couple of seconds to answer.

It was Sam's little sister, Tara, who opened it. She smiled friendly at them.

"Hey, guys, glad you can make it."

"Thanks for having us here." Elijah replied politely.

It was like a welcoming party for Sam and Tara that they have their own apartment. Now that Quinn officially moved in, it felt complete.

"This is our new roommate, Quinn." Tara introduced her.

The new girl of their group was sitting on the couch and she waved friendly at them. Elijah always heard Tara and Sam talk about Quinn, but this was the first time he actually met her in person.

Elijah couldn't help to think how attractive the girls' roommate was.

"Hi." Quinn smiled at the boys. Even her smile looked cute.

"Hi." They greeted.

"I'm Oliver Jeffries," He pointed his thumb at Elijah. "His roommate."

"And I'm Elijah Kincaid. Nice to meet you."

"You, too." Quinn replied.

"Where's Lucy and Naomi?" Of course, Oliver would notice that his crush wasn't there yet.

"And Chad and Ethan?" Elijah added.

Only those four didn't show up yet. But Mindy, Anika, and Gabrielle was there. Mindy was getting close with Gabrielle's roommate, Anika. Elijah noticed that as they were setting up the table. They were obviously flirting with each other.

"They're on their way." Tara answered and entered the kitchen.

The boys joined to sit with Quinn on the couch and they watched TV while Sam and Tara was cooking in the kitchen.

"I made brownies for dessert." Quinn told the boys.

"You're my new favorite person." Oliver smiled at her, making Elijah chuckle and roll his eyes. He knew Oliver had a major sweet tooth.

Elijah took the time to get to know Quinn while they wait for the others.

"So, do you go to Blackmore College, too?" He wondered.

"Yeah, I recognize you from Film Studies, actually." She pointed.

"Oh, really?" That surprised him and he tried to flirt. "Maybe we should sit next to each other then?"

"Maybe."

"I heard your father is a cop."

"He's a detective." She informed.

"Mine, too. That's how my parents met. He helped her with a Ghostface case back in 2000."

"Oh, yeah, that was when Roman Bridger was Ghostface?" She recalled.

"My uncle? Yeah, that was him." He sighed with disappointment.

Elijah didn't like how his uncle and even his cousin, Jill Roberts, turned out to be Ghostface killers. He would've liked to have a normal family, not one that had murderers.

"Uh, you have any siblings?" Elijah quickly changed the subject, not liking to talk about his uncle.

There was a flicker of sadness in her eyes that he caught for a minute until she composed herself. "Well, I had one, but he...died in a car accident."

"Oh, god, I'm so sorry-" He pitied.

"It's okay," She waved it off. "Do you have any?"

"Yeah, two little sisters and a baby brother. My sisters get on my nerves."

Elijah and Quinn laughed at that and they talk about other things more, growing a close bond. They were so wrapped up in each other that they didn't realize Chad, Ethan, Lucy, and Naomi had arrived.

Once everybody met Quinn and introduced themselves, they began to have dinner.

Later after the small party, people were leaving since it was getting late at night.

Elijah didn't want to miss saying a goodbye to Quinn.

"Hey, um, are you seeing anyone?" He wondered, acting a little nervous. It was a bad and embarrassing habit whenever he'd ask girls out.

"Sorry to disappoint, but I don't do relationships." Quinn shook her head.

"Oh, that's fine..." He muttered, looking down, being very interested in his shoes suddenly. Elijah couldn't help to feel a bit disappointed.

"But I am into open relationships, if you're okay with that." She said seductively.

"Like a...friends with benefits situation?"

"Are we friends?"

Elijah shrugged his shoulders. "After this party I thought we kinda were."

Quinn smiled. "Then, yeah, just like friends with benefits."

Elijah never experienced something like that before, but there's always a first time for everything.

He stepped closer to her and smirked, saying in a low voice only she could hear. "Sounds like fun."
