Even though they got split apart, Elijah, Mindy, and Ethan was five minutes behind from the others. But Mindy got stabbed on the subway and Ethan...he's probably headed his way to the theater just like Elijah was right now.
He entered the theater, not knowing what to expect when it was all about to come down.
There was a text he just sent to Sam and Kirby that he was close to the theater. Kirby texted him back that she would still have the door open for him to get in.
When he texted her that he finally arrived, she let him into the theater.
"Hey, Eli," Kirby greeted. "Where's Ethan and Mindy? I thought they were with you."
"We got caught up," Elijah answered. "The killer followed us to the subway and stabbed Mindy."
"What? Are you serious?" She was shocked.
"Yeah," He sighed, nodding his head. "I thought Ethan would be here by now. I don't know where he is."
"Well, I can't have this door open forever for him. I have to lock it," Kirby said, doing just that. "I'm going to be on the look out. Be on alert for the killer, Eli. You two stay safe." Then she walked away.
Elijah didn't know she meant by the two of them staying safe. He didn't know the other person she referred to. Until he turned around and saw Sam in the shrine with him.
"Oh, hey, Sam." He spotted her.
"So, the killer just happened to stab Mindy, but not you?" She asked suspiciously, narrowing her eyes down at him.
"He tried to, but I fought him off," Then he realized why the eldest Carpenter sister was so critical of him. "I am not the killer, Sam. I have no reason to be one. You know me."
"You're right, I'm sorry," Sam apologized. "It's just hard to trust anyone right now, you know?"
"Yeah, I do," He agreed. "I wish I could've done something to help Mindy to avoid getting stabbed. It was too late when I found out what happened to her."
"Well, you got rid of the killer for now." Sam pointed out.
"And he might be here as we speak." He sighed, shaking his head. It was a stupid idea to have the killer trapped in the theater.
Suddenly, Elijah's cellphone started to ring. He had an annoyed feeling that it was the killer. Ghostface. But he was using Dewey's number to call Elijah. He never deleted Dewey from his contact because the pain of losing him was still fresh.
Elijah reluctantly answered the phone.
"Alright, let's get this talk over with." He said in a bored tone. Already done with the killer's shit. It was only a matter of time when he was going to have a call of his own.
"Impatient, are we?" The modulated voice chuckled.
"More like fed up with your bullshit!" Elijah spat.
He was walking to the cases, hoping to find a weapon. Despite what Kirby said about being the only one legal to carry a gun, he didn't care and knew he needed to have something to defend himself. His eyes spotted his uncle's case with the knife still inside. There wasn't any way he would take his psychotic and fame whore cousin's knife. Not that his uncle was any better, but at least Elijah had a weapon on him now. He had a tight grip on the handle.
"You should've been like a good little boy, Eli, and stayed on the subway. So my knife can carve your skin into pieces!" The voice threatened.
"Well, you tried to do that, but I fought you off. That was the most pathetic thing I've seen that you guys did." Elijah taunted.
