Rumors and Lovers

As Halloween was approaching, the gang was talking about what costumes they'd wear while they watched a horror movie. There was going to be a frat party and that's what they're talking about, too. Most of them were going.

"When is it?" Tara asked eagerly.

"Next Friday," Mindy answered. "Are you going?"

She was sitting on the couch, her arm wrapped around Anika's shoulders. They were finally dating. Chad and Elijah had a bet on who would be the one to ask the other out. It turned out to be Anika which Chad lost and Elijah won ten bucks. 

Before Tara could get a chance to respond, her older sister did that for her. "No. She is not going."

"Sam!" Tara complained, glaring at her.

"Don't you remember the last time you were at a party?" Then she looked at the rest of the former Woodsboro residents. "Not just you, but all of you. How can any of you want to go to a party after what we just went through at a party?"

"And what do you expect the rest of us to do, Sam?!" Tara angrily exclaimed at her. "Just sit around and cower in fear like you do?"

"I do not do that!" She rolled her eyes.

"Well, we can't do that forever, Sam! We've got to go out and live life, okay?" Tara argued.

"Tara, I'm your older sister and I say you're not going." Sam said in a firm and authoritative voice.

Not wanting to have a fight in front of their friends, Tara pretended to let Sam have her way.

"Okay, Sam, fine," She sighed tiredly, giving up. "I won't go." She turned her head to watch the movie, not letting Sam catch her smirking, but Elijah and Mindy noticed it. They tried to hide their amusement.

"Thank you," Sam said with relief. "You know I just want all of you to be safe, right?" She looked at their friends and her sister.

"Yeah." The others understood.

"Um, I'm going outside for a smoke." Sam said and then left her apartment.

"Yeah, right," Tara scoffed, crossing her arms. "She's so going to see Danny."

"How do you know that?" Anika innocently wondered.

"She always makes up some lame excuses to leave then won't come back for some minutes and maybe a couple of hours later." Tara explained.

"Well, the fighting did seem to get her stressed," Chad noticed. "Maybe she is going outside."

"And then coming back in to see Danny," Elijah smirked. "Maybe he can calm her down."

"You really think that she's secretly seeing Danny?" Chad asked, being doubtful.

"From what I've been hearing, yeah."

"Want to bet on that?" Chad smiled.

"Ugh, you two losers are betting again? Why?" Mindy groaned.

"Cause we love to have fun." Her twin brother answered.

"And have money." Elijah added.

Mindy and Gabrielle just rolled their eyes and shook their heads.

"Even if they are secretly dating, hopefully Danny will be a better boyfriend to her than Richie." Lucy said.

"What was wrong with Richie?" Quinn asked. Elijah noticed how a little defensive she got for some reason.

"He was the guy who tried to kill us all at the party last year." Lucy answered.
