The day began as usual. Leah had someone she cared for, like family. She would meet him today. He was the only one who treated her well, apart from those in her mansion. However, recently, he stopped attending his classes. He wasn't from a well-off family, but his family wasn't poor either. Leah decided to see how he and his family were faring. She sprinted off to the car and headed to his house. As for who he was, his name was Sean. Leah was worried about him since even his calls had stopped. When she reached, she pulled the door open and was left stunned. In front of her stood the sight of a house that seemed to have been rampaged. The papers, books and furniture were scattered. Traces of blood were noticeable on the floor. Leah was afraid. "Liam, Uncle Zacharia, Aunt Mia, where are you guys? It's me, Leah."
Leah heard the sound of a door opening. The family of three walked in very quietly. "Leah, thank the heaven it was you. Leo, the boy from your school, came over a fortnight ago. His men trashed this place up and wounded Sean. Zac is not in town due to work. I couldn't send Sean to the same school that person would be in. I'm going to transfer schools for Sean. Thank you for looking out for him." Mia said. "Aunt Mia, S-S-S-Sean, is he going to be alright?" Leah stuttered. "The doctors said he should be well with enough rest. Though, we would feel better if his Dad was around." the lady answered. "Aunt Mia. How would you like your husband to work at the Serpentines group of companies?" Leah asked. "I would love it. I heard the Serpentines is the least back-stabbing company in the country and that the employees are treated with utmost respect. But that large group would never accept us." Mia answered.
"What if I told you that the power of decision-making in the Serpentines rests solely with me? Would you believe me then?" Leah asked. "You must be joking. There's no way..."Mia trailed off. She was thinking of something. "Wait a minute, Serpico. Serpentine. Oh my God. The Serpentine is a family business of the Serpico family." "So, aunt, what'd you think? Are you in or out? I want to make Leo pay. Do you?" Leah grinned. "I do. All those who caused my son distress, I want them all to look at him now with respect." "Now, Aunt, could you please direct me to Sean?"
The two headed towards an inside room, and Mia called out to Sean. "Mom, I heard Leah's voice. Is she here? Could you please send her away? I don't want her to see me in this condition." Leah looked at the mirror beside her. In it was the reflection of Sean. He looked so sad and defeated that she decided to give him advice. "Sean, I can't imagine what Leo asked his henchmen to do to you. But you have your family and me by your side. Don't be defeated by them. You remember I told you I have a secret. I shared it with your mother. Sean, stop crouching down, or you'll have a hunchback." "Leah, what secret did you tell my Mom?" Sean asked. Mia replied, "Leah revealed her identity. She is Leah Serpico. Future heir of the Serpentines." Sean was bewildered. He had lost his ability to talk. He couldn't believe his ears. His best friend wasn't some poor girl from a middle-class family. She was a queen.
Sean stood up. "Well, well, well. Who would've thought that Leah here would be a wealthy heiress? I certainly wouldn't have thought about it." "Looks like you've got your spunk back." Leah laughed. "Well, my lady, what pleasure do I owe you for you to grace us with your presence?" Sean teased her. "Sean," Leah screamed. "Get back here." Leah chased after Sean, who sprinted off after he finished his acting. "Catch me if you can." Sean laughed and ran. They headed to Leah's car, which started to drive them to school. "But, Leah, there's one thing I don't understand. If you were the heiress, why would you let them trample all over you? You could've made them keep shut and listen to your words and wills." Sean questioned. "Well, I won't let them now. Besides, I can't always rely on my father to help me when I'm in a fix. I needed to find a way to help myself. So, I chose to endure. But, I won't endure their behaviours anymore. I'm going to, without question, prove my worth to them. Then, I'll make them regret." Leah gave Sean an assuring reply.
The two friends arrived at school, and Leah sat in her new place. Leo's voice sounded outside the class, "Yeah, I know. Could you quit nagging me? Don't worry about me. That Leah should worry. I won't do anything too horrifying. I might mess up with some of her stuff. It should be enough to pass a warning." Leo laughed and entered the class. While Leo was entering the class, Sean, who was sitting, stretched his left leg out intentionally, causing Leo to trip. "You? What're you doing here? Weren't you scared enough to make you leave this place? Why are you coming now? Oh! I see. You came to join your witch of a friend on a ride where hell is its final destination. Feel free to sit beside her. Get up from my seat." Leo fumed with anger. "Heh, is your name written on this chair?" Sean asked him.
"Are you insane? Do you know who I am? Do you dare to go against me? I can make your family disappear from the face of the Earth." Leo threatened. "Tsk... Tsk... Who knew the son of the chairman of Genzie Group had a mentally unstable son? If I were your father, I would've slapped you by now. Speaking of Leo, Sean and I have plenty of scores to settle with you. Do you want to settle them your way or my way?" Leah snickered and asked. "Leo, we both are done with being wallflowers. Now, you shall be a wallflower while we become wallflowers no more. If you get what I mean, scram off." Leah said.
