As the surroundings darkened, a thick fog flooded the campus. An eerie chatter of students who were trembling in fear began. Leah had no realisation of what was happening around her, but she knew that she was the epicentre of this. Whatever this fog was, it was linked to the words that left her lips. As if the fog recognised her, it created a path for her to walk. "Hmm... What an interesting little thing!" Leah was in awe of the fog that parted into two sides. "Surprised by what the darkness can do?" A voice spoke. "Who..." Leah was cut off, "Take a look at the reflection in the puddle." The voice instructed. Leah did as the voice asked. "You see, Leah, the darkness in you is me. I'm that part of your soul that has been suppressed for a long time. You gave in to me recently. You're no longer alone, Dad, the three fools, and me. We're all here for you. So, stop trying to solve everything on your own. Rely on us a bit more. It's something I wanted to tell you." The fog slowly disappeared, and the weather returned to normal.
'Rely on them a bit more.' Leah thought of those words, and it was constantly playing in the back of her mind. The noise among the students slowly grew louder. The unnatural phenomenon that had just occurred left everyone within that area bewildered. Rumours started to circulate that the campus was haunted by someone who wanted vengeance. However, the next day itself, the rumours died down. People thought that it was just some abnormal weather and brushed it off. But, without hesitation, one could say it was no longer the same on the campus grounds. The students were now more cautious than before. Leah wanted to frighten them a bit more, but it still couldn't compare to the humiliation she had received, but it would've been an interesting 'play' to watch, according to her.
Three days after the incident took place, Leah began her tricks on them. "Destrue lucem. Hah... An interesting foreplay will be presenting itself in front of me soon." Leah snickered. "Destroyer of the light, I summon you." A shadow appeared behind her. "What do you ask of me, my princess?" The shadow spoke. "You've followed me all my life. You should know all those who've caused us to suffer, my shadow's protector." Leah said. "Yes, I do know. I know everything we've been through. You've no idea how long I've waited for this moment." The shadow spoke. "Don't be so disheartened. Revenge shall be ours, and it shall be the sweetest vengeance." Leah said. Her gaze was focused on the tree in front of her. "Say, do you remember what happened here on the second day in this hell hole?" Leah asked. "How can I ever forget? They separated you from the rest of the class and kicked you here until you bled." The shadow sounded repulsed with the thought of that incident.
"Hehe... In that case... What do you think about making a clean slice in their lives? Let's teach them what it means to cross us... Hmm... Shall we, Eva?" Leah said and turned around to look at the girl with stunning crimson red eyes. "As long as you wish for something, I'll accomplish it. Now tell me, what do you want to do to those fools?" The two girls stared at each other. "I want them to taste what it feels like to bite the dust. I want them to know what it feels like to be ruined both in and out. I won't cause them physical harm. I'll kill them mentally. After all, the most painful kind of torture is mental torture." Leah spoke like a true villainess. "In that case, I'll start with finding the souls of those who killed themselves because of others' faults. If you get what I mean?" Eva replied.
"Wait, do you mean to say I'm not their first victim?" Leah was stunned, "You're right. They had three victims before who couldn't endure the pain, so they committed suicide out of hatred. Their souls still lurk in these grounds, weeping for revenge." Eva said. "Such people, do they even deserve to be called human? They're worse than monsters. At least monsters protect their kind." Leah exploded. Her eyes expressed hatred. She could not even imagine the pain those three individuals suffered. "Eva, connect me with those souls. I want to know what they wish for. If they wish for revenge, I'll hand it to them on a diamond platter. "Killing innocent lives. You'll have to pay the price." Leah spent the next hour in the library talking to the spirits through telepathic communication. She found out how they were brutally tortured. Their deaths weren't even suicide. It was murder because their family was not willing to let go of the shares in their hands.
"Thank you for sharing your experiences with me. I know it must be hard for you three. But, I hope that you can let go of this life and pass over through the doors to the other realms." Leah said. The three souls thanked them and left. "Now, how do we take care of those monsters?" Leah asked. "Book of Dark Arts, I need you." A mark shone on her forehead, and the book appeared in the field of her vision. Leah flipped to the pages, to a page about the three magnificent mythical creatures in the dark arts.
The luduan, the phoenix and the siren. These three creatures came together to form what the author of the book called 'The ones who rule the rest.' It was a rather interesting topic, and Leah wanted to test the abilities of all three beasts. She wished to use the luduan to force the truth out of the ones who killed those three. With this thought, Leah recited the chant in the book and summoned the mythical beast, which only seemed to be bound to myths, into the real world.
PS: Luduan has the head of a lion, the horn of a rhino, the body of a dragon, the paws of a bear, the scales of a fish, and the tail of an ox. It compels humans and other fae to answer the truth to its question.
